Default Bud Light apologizes for promoting ''rape culture''

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...-light-slogan/

The tag-line ''Up For Whatever'' on a brand of Beer, Budd-Light has led to outrage on social media that it promotes a ''rape culture'' and is inconsiderate of sexual abuse victims who say ''no means no''.

Perhaps this is legit, or just another politician trying to get the attention of youth. Congress Woman and senior Democrat Nita Lowey also expressed dissatisfaction at the tag-line.

Could have been worst like, "No Means Yes"

Dear Budweiser,

I get what the slogan is trying to say, and frankly it's not inaccurate. In fact fifteen years ago it would be a little tongue-in-cheek, and result in some run of the mill media silliness, but today we have total social media saturation.

Hypersensitivity and Tumblr, GO!!

...and by total saturation, what is meant is a few dozen people with bots generating fake rage on social media. It's a dumb phrase to say, let alone put on a beer bottle. But as a normal sane person, my first thoughts were of some things that ...uh ...other people, yeah, other people have done while intoxicated that non-drunk people would say "no" to doing. Various moving violations and home "improvement" projects, stunts with or without recreational vehicles, stuff like that. For rape to be part of the thought process you'd have to take "Not just no..." out of most peoples' vocabulary. But maybe if you're a snowflake whose helicopter parents are paying too much per term for you to learn to respond to microagressions by hollering about triggers, you go straight to non-existent Rape Culture Trigger!

I'm guessing there is a strong correlation between people who did NOT go straight to rape, and people who can pull this out of their parents' photo album:
