I could never be a vegan. It'd be too difficult and I don't see any benefits besides the hippy-feel-good-"I love everything"-sentiment.

But I do call myself a vegetarian. Have been for 18 years. There are definately some foods that tempt me from time to time, but not enough to make it worth getting sick over (like a newborn infant, I no longer have the bacteria to digest some meats).

I think it's interesting that some people would choose to willingly ban themselves (as opposed to moderately limiting) from food that they like.

I try to make sure that I never push my diet on anyone. I can't STAND vegetarian activists. They make me want to kill small animals in front of them. Like puppies, and kittens, and bunnies, and chicks. Prefereably as visually violently (but humanely quick) as possible. Then I'd try to wipe the animals blood all over any of the activists possesions. And then I'd... mad.gif

....sorry, got a bit carried away there. unsure.gif

I'll bet vegans are pretty delicious compared to other people. Like if you were to get into a Donner party type of situation healthy or not the vegan is the first one I'm eating.

Well, I'm told I taste different than most people. Slightly sweeter, less sharp, but also saltier(due to my diet). Oh....I'm talking about people kissing me or accidentally tasting my sweat...uh, yeah...that's it. unsure.gif

But I'm gonna remember that you'd suggest our party eats me, if we ever get stranded somewhere. sad.gif

Then again, you have all that delicious unhealthy fat, and more meat to go around, so maybe I can convince everyone that you'd be a better meal. cool.gif

You're not a vegan.

But don't worry, I've seen how you eat and I'm pretty sure you're no more delicious than the rest of us.

My delicious fat layer will be enough to keep me alive anyways. It'll be a while before I need to eat anyone.

^^LOL. That's funny as hell that you refer to your fat layer as "delicious", lol. I may have woke the wife up laughing a little too loud.

I know this is an old thread, But there is no way in hell I could do it. My wife only eats fish and poultry different reason nothing to do with health some what now but not when she started she was a vegetarian but wanted more so she switched to the what she eats now. I on the other hand could never give up my red meat, I love my steaks and burgers, what ever type of animal it comes from. I was raised eating red meat and the such my parents now only eat tofu and fish, I could NEVER do. So my diet is siwtched up a lot and I think that is best, fish, chicken, turkey, red meat, do eat pork to much and I think that is the healthiest way to go our bodies were made to eat these things, by switching diets and what not to try to be more healthier our natural defenses give way to new diseases and our abilty to overcome sickness. if you want to be healthier in my opionion should just stay in shape round if that is the way your DNA is written or skinny, don't try to be what you can never become and take good care of your self. I eat like SH*T sometimes but I can tell you I do not get sick often a cold once a year at most these days. and I am done rambling now.
