I just lost all my freakin' morale at the store. I"ve been working there for months and 95% of the customers are friendly and happy. I always say yes ma'am, no sir , etc etc. Some Indian dude came in and yelled at the top of his lungs "STOP CALLING ME SIR!!!!!". And it happened to be at the busiest time.

What's so offensive with Ma'am and sir? I'm so mad right now.

 

I assume you mean native american indian.. as I have yet to see a hindu raise his voice like that. He probably thought you were patronizing him, being part mohawk myself, I can understand how he might feel.

Should have come back with.. "ok, what do you want me to call you?"

 

Nah, he was a Indian from India. I knew he was Indian because of his name.

I remember at my old job I got called stupid because it took me a minute to give this guy his change. Idiot..but I just let it go, some people are just nasty man..dont let it get to you.

 

^^^ Hahahahhahh that happens all the time. Our store uses an antique cash register and it messes up alot, so we have manually calculate in our head. I swear I can't do even the simple math in my head.. i'm so used to using a calculator.. dang high school!!!!!

I knew an Iranian family. The parents were the quietest people you ever met and always kept their house spotless. But when alone, they yell at the top of their lungs, call their children names, and make them clean everything.
It was all about their "appearance" to others.
