Woww!! The store that I worked at was packed!!! Get this, the state of Michigan is going on a Alcohol, Lottery, Gambling(Casinos), Health Care Hiatus!. That means, it's possible that they are going to temporarly ban the sales of Lottery and Alcohol until mid-October. My boss was yelling on the phone with the state dept. because no one notified him. When the NEWS spread around in our city on the Newspaper and TV, people who usually bought pints of Liquor, bought 2 half-gallons of liquor!! One guy stocked up about $340.00 worth Wine, Tonic Water, Gin and Jack Daniels!!!! This one couple bought $100.00 worth of Mega Millions and Michigan Lotto tickets!!! The store went crazy; it felt like we just got done with a state disaster and people are trying to pile up on food!

NOTE TO MICHIGAN RESIDENTS:

Stock up on Liquor, Beer and Lottery for possible Tax Hiatus. MICHIGAN IS LITERALLY BANKRUPT.

take a photo of the hurdle in there. it's probably all balding superbowl nfl watching hairy bellied, shaved last week guys with checkered shorts. hahaha.

it's probably a raid. you would be surprised with atlantic city, NJ (although i've never been there and never want to) it's the only way for that state to get its money yet it's crime infested.

i don't know if you ban alchohol, lotto, and gambling whether there will be more or less crime.

how the hell is shutting the casinos down (probably the biggest money maker) going to help the budget.

i can't WAIT to leave this crappy ass state.

Well, it looks official. 35,000 government workers will be laid of Monday. owned.gif 90% of the State Police force, Secretary of State, lotto, casinos, liquor supplies, state parks, and a half dozen other services will no longer be available. This is officially the shittiest state in the country. We have the worst economy in the nation, with a 7.4% unemployment rate. We have been in a recession since 1999 with no signs of recovery, while the rest of the country has come out of recession and is starting to flourish. The more and more I think about it, the more tempted I am to say f*#@ it and move out to NM with Nate and Redz. Too friggin bad I'm too broke to even make it out for the ABQBBQ. Unless my student loan come before then, I wont be able to.

The only jobs available, (which are even hard to come by) are minimum wage restaurant/fast food jobs. We just got our first Red Robin (Didn't even know about them til I visited Socks) and I know a manager that was hired in. He said they had well over 1000 applicants to fill 20-30 minimum wage jobs.

It took me months to get hired into Jimmy Johns as a delivery driver (once again, food industry - even LESS than minimum wage) and we only get 5% in sales for gas. There is no minimum delivery. So we get jackasses all the time that order one sandwich that we have to deliver to get our whopping $.25 -$.30 for. IF they tip, it is usually $1. (Most people in West Michigan are Dutch, cheap f***ing bastards.) So, by the end of the day, I'm lucky to earn back enough to pay for the gas that we don't get reimbursed for and enough is left over so I MAKE minimum wage. The only perk to the job is I get to drive around in my car a few times during the shift. It's nuts.
