youd be suprised what shops quote prices at, just because WE ALL know how to work on our cars and know exactly how to find parts for cheap doesnt mean its gonna be like that, the guy who assended me had over 2200$ in damage and he had scraches on his bumper... literal scratches... But yeah like screwdriver said, just sit back and be cool, let the money come in and then do it yourself. You might end up having more money in the long run with all new aftermarket parts.

ebay roxors teh big 11111.
You could get parts cheaper. Do the work yourself. it looks like you would be able to take out the dents where the lights mount up with a big ol hammer.

As long as the frame is straight I think you're all good. Looks like the hardest part will be the radiator mount, if you can have a shop do that, you ought to be able to put a new bumper and such on yourself. I don't have much experience with bodywork myself, but most mechanics pop the front bumpers off when working on a lot of imports today, it makes things easier to get at.
Either way, hope all the best for you man

I didnt mention when my car was messed up my dad did all the work and we got all the stuff except the fender from a junkyard. It saved us about two grand..so def try to do the work yourself if you can. Get as much as you can from a junkyard or even ebay.

the radiator support is where its going to cost the most. if they say its totalled buy it back, especially if its under 1000. i got ac stuff if you need any of it.

from that hit, the frame wont be bent, i had about the same damage.. just radiator support.. and btw, the OEM headlights for an RD1 cost something like 350$ a piece... ya, i remember that from when i almost totalled my car and had to get my headlights replaced and looking at the estimate, i was like WTF..
keep the car.. youll hate urself if you let it go.. you can install most of the stuff yourself, and go on ebay or carpart.com/net and you will get good deals..

well, i got's good news and bad news.
Bad news: It's totaled. he said with visible damage (not including under the hood) he had it totaled out around 4,700$ worth of damage. the car was valued at 6,700$ and he said at the 75% mark they have to consider it totaled, and because of the possibility of damages under the hood/whatever, he totaled it out.
Good News: I'm getting back $7,250 back from them (with taxes), and that's with keeping all my after market stuff (intake, battery, radio)
plus, the buyback (If they allow me) is only $864. so I'm defiantly going to try and buy it back, i just don't know if I'm going to keep it to fix or what.
but yeah, now i get to go car shopping...

part it out and buy another tib from one of the turbo guys the site. thats the best plan. wrecked cars will give u problems for the rest of their life. just buy another tib and call it a day, no need wasting money fixing things when u can just get another tib and keep some cash.
