Ok, we all know that my Brother in law hurt my tib... and I think a few know that I have a bad wheel bearing.

Yesterday I pull up on the handbrake.. and the passengerside cable snapped

Today my exhaust manifold finally cracked.

The Cable I am not too worried about. I still have credit from that HP lawsuit. I will buy a new cable and replace it. As for the manifold.. I do not know if my dealer will honor any sort of recall on it. My tib has 112,000 miles on it and they have been... reluctant to do any sorts of warrenty work in the past. I do not know about the recalls. Chances are they will come up with some sort of excuse. I will find out wed.

sucks man. the whole ebrake setup in the tib is crap. all the boots wear out superfast, water gets in and freezes the whole thing up. and many times i have felt like my cable is going to snapp too.

i do have an extra exhaust manifold i would be willing to send you if you pay the shipping for it. it has a small crack on the flange, right into one of the holes. dont think it would cause any problems though. let me know via pm if you need it.

nah, I am probably good on the manifold.. I have an SSA four to one header I bought in the group buy that I never got around to installing.

Stock exhaust manifold cracks so easily, thusly: IT SUCKS!

I cannot WAIT to receive my RSide headers.

And yes, the e-brake does suck.

I do find it funny that both of my Italian cars have their original hand brake cables.. not that they worked well even when new. This honestly is the first brake cable I have ever broken.

As for your manifold... it does not matter how many miles / how old your car is... once a company issues a recall, they have to honor it.

well, I just got back from the dealer... Handbrake cables were $50+ each.. but I still had $60 from that lawsuit... so both cables together cost me roughly $50.

And yes, even with 112,000 miles.. my car is covered by the recall. It goes in wed to my usual mechanic that I use for jobs I do not want to do for the wheel bearing.. and thursday for the manifold. Life definatly seems better.
