Wheel Locks?!?!

I bought my car used in California and drove it home to Washington. And when I got home what did I find? The previous owner had put 4 wheel locks on all 4 of the wheels! And the tool used to get them off is nowhere to be found! I went to Schucks trying to find something to get it off but they couldn't help me. Tomorrow I'm going to try discount tires or something. I need to get them off so if I ever get a flat I can actually get the whell off. How stupid was the first owner?

I actually had a similar experience. I bought a used Mercedes 280E over in Germany. I was driving to work one day on the 'Bahn and blew out my front left tire while passing a semi at about 95 miles an hour. Yeah, scary. So I get it over to the side and get the spare out (flat), so I call ADAC on the roadside phone. He get's out there and points out that there are wheel locks installed and asks for the key. Which of course was nowhere to be found. So he chiseled it off, which may be a possibility for you.

I've asked around and chiseling them off for me is going to be quite a bit of money seeing as how there are 16 lugs to be chiseled! Does anyone know if hyundai makes wheel locks? Maybe the first owner got them from the dealership and that way they can get a key for me. Just a hope.
Isn't it just 4 nuts you have to chisel off?
One per tire?
Hyundai does make OEM lock nuts, made by McGaurds for Hyundai, and IF it was a Hyundai one that the guy had, they may have a master at the dealership.
We have a set, but ONLY if they were the OEM locks from Hyundai

no, it's not just 4. There are 4 on each wheel! How would I know if it's an OEM lock? I wish I could show you what they look like. They're perfectly round on the outside so a normal lug wrench won't work, and on the inside it looks like a flower pattern.
Well you can't tell by looking at them.
If they are ALL like you describe, then yeah, there are 4 lock nuts on each bolt.
That's NUTS!
A good wheel place (if it's not OEM lock nuts / dealership can't get them off with the keys available there) will be able to pry to them with some "special" tools
But you won't be able to use the locks again.

Get vice grips... or some sort of kro-bar type deal that will fit around the lugs and try to break them off. It'll take a lot of force to get them loose. Maybe if you can get some vice grips and get enough force to turn them you can budge 'em. Let me consult some others and I will post again...
Alright... Get a pair of vice-grips and try to get a grip on one edge of the nut. If it's slippery, use something to file it down (filer, rough edge or sand paper) so you can get a good grip on it. Use a small sledge hammer or something else to help you turn the vice-grips. You may be able to get it with your own hands. If that doesn't work, I'd go down to Auto Zone or something similar... I'm sure somebody down there may have some ideas or help you try... I know a few guys that work at the local auto zone who are able to break off wheel locks.. Let us know how it turns out

Good News! I got them off! I took my car to Discount Tire Co. and they had a wheel lock tool. It didn't exactly fit, but they just rammed it in until it caught. Then they just came off! And the cool thing is it only cost me 21 bucks! I was fairly excited. Now I can paint the calipers. Those lugs from summit racing look almost identical to mine. All I know is the ones I took off say M 12x1.5 RH/T I have all 16 if anyone wants them : ) It looks like they used to be painted red, but it has rubbed off. I'm really glad that whole ordeal is over! The only thing now is I just have regular lugs so anyone can steal my stock 15" hyundai wheels! : ) Oh well
