On the way home tonight, I was hit by a car pulling out of a parking lot. They were making a left turn and watching for traffic coming from the right, and didn't notice me come around the bend in the road.

Honda Passport V6 hit my rear wheel, spun me around, and I ended facing the opposite direction I was heading. Another car slammed on their breaks and hit my front end (not hard, but nonetheless, did some damage.

Looks like my frame is a little out-of-whack to say the least. It's really weird, my entire week has sucked.

Yesterday I almost hydrolocked my engine. It was raining a lot, and on my way to work (with the restaurant in sight!) it just wouldn't go anywhere when I pressed the gas. CEL came on, car pretty much shut off, so I threw it in neutral and turned the engine off, coasting into a parking lot. Popped the hood, disconnected the MAF and water started pouring out. There was a little bit of steam/smoke coming from the hose connected to the TB.

after wiping out all the water I could from the hose that connect MAF to TB, I started the car up without the filter ... it hesitated before starting and sounded HORRIBLE. I let it run for a minute, revved it via the throttle body, and drove it to work without an intake on it or filter. (I was only 1/4 mile from work).

I got to work and disconnected all the tubing and MAF and let it dry while I was serving tables. Took my filter inside to dry up (it was SOAKED). I was terrified, and ALMOST didn't drive my car to work today... but I guess it all worked out for the best. Nobody was hurt tonight, the guy who T-Boned me in the Passport was given a DUI, and I'm considering suing him. He had insurance, so that's a good thing. I just hope I don't feel the pain tomorrow 02.gif It's not official that my car is totalled, but I'm pretty sure it is. No air bags (I'm guessing because I got hit in the rear quarter panel) but I was only going about 25 MPH, if that...

Pictures will come later this week. Had to have the car towed (bumper was non-existent after the other car hit me, broke into about 4 big pieces and the rest dissinegrated. Looks like frame damage since he hit me in the rear quarter, lots of body damage (sideskirts, rear bumper, front bumper, hatch) and the radiator was crushed along with the fans. I hope the total it out and give me $12,000 to reinvest into a Tib...

this is the 5th accident I've had in my Tib.... I don't think it can take anything else. Only one of those 5 was my fault (minor rear-ending)

Well, it kinda worked out, you wanted a new tib to work with anyway,...

And it kills 2 birds with one stone,... gets rid of that cow catcher,...

AND if this was April fools, you're 7 minutes late (in central time zone anyway),...
If not, at least you weren't hurt,...

If it is an April Fools thing,... well,... you still have a cow catcher, lmao.gif joke.gif

Damn april fools. he could have actually lost what hes spend a ton of time and money into creating and we have to insult majik by trying to determine whether its a joke or not. If it is a joke, then if we took it seriously he got us and we look stupid. If its not a joke and we think it is, then we look like assholes laughing at his misfortune calling him a liar.

It could be a joke because of the lack of pictures and how he spent more time discussing near hydrolocking of the engnie over the crash in the writeup.

But it could be serious because of the detail and such.

1. If you did wreck it then that sucks and im truely sorry that happened to you and curse the guy who was drinking and apologize for questioning whether it was a joke or not

2. If not and this is an april fools thing then its kinda wierd to make a joke about it as it is kin to joking about a family member dying. Jokes are fun but this wouldnt be something i would joke about. If this is the case i'm glad another modified tibby didnt get totalled, as there are plenty of ricing civics that could be wrecked and not make the tinyest of dents in the modified civic population.

Ok, if this is an April Fools joke shame on you. I dont think its something to joke about though Id give you props for making up such a good story.

If its not a joke then Im truly sorry. Id be really pissed if that happened to me after putting so much work into my car. Its good that your okay though but if you get some aches and pains then suing is a nice option. fing02.gif It sucks there are some uncaring drivers out there.

Good luck with everything.
