Our tib is cursed. Constant problems to the point of claiming the lemon law since we bought it, but they replaced the tranny and now that we are going to manual swap I have an auto tranny with about 3k on it I have to dump someplace. Sensors, wires, air bag lights. All problems. But since all the work has been done oh well. And modding a car always seems to bring quirks to the car as well. Now it has lotsa money put into it and I don't like driving it, heavy, tedious(sp) to park, always careful dropping it, listen to creaks and moans from Fiberglass rubbing in the rear from all the panels overlayed, vibrations. It's a nice garage ornament, but i'll never tear apart another car or weigh it down with lbs. of speakers and amps and tv's, suspension and wings neons etc etc. As it losses its nastalgia, I think how much money I could be making in bank invested funds.

But it's always the joy of a car till it starts to show it's problems.

Okay, so I got a list of things that are going to be done and I'll have my car back tomorrow morning, since the garage started on it yesterday:
Front brake pads
Rear brake pads
Rear-left caliper revision
changing all the v-belts
changing timing belt
welding the cracked header
all the oils and fluids changed
new spark plugs
and some smaller stuff like cleaning the a/c

I'm going to buy a new header next month or so.
The welding is just a temp. solution.
Going for a aftermarket (performance header),
so any suggestions on a good aftermarktet header is welcome.

It's going to get the biggest cleaning service it has had in years next week.
I'm gonna run down every inch of it to make it look as good as it can.

Guess that covers it all laugh.gif .
Get your tib in shape tongue.gif .

Have the shop look at your handbrake cables. Water often gets in past the boots at the caliper and cause corrosion and ultimatly a broken cable.

Also have them check and grease the slide bolts that hold the calipers to the mounts. Same thing, water gets in past the boots and causes them to corrode and freeze up.
