Arrow That sucks...

So I've had to jump my car 3 times this weekend.

1. Saturday morning
2. Saturday night
3. Sunday afternoon

I had an Optima Red Top, which was about 4 years old. Never had an issue what so ever, until this weekend. This morning, went to my friends dads shop so he could do a battery check and come to find out, the battery was pretty much done. It wasnt charging at all. The alternator is in perfect condition, so its not that. So, he hooked me up with a brand new discounted Interstate Max battery for only $50. I thought about getting another Optima, but didnt want to take a chance of the car dying again somewhere not near home where my battery charger is.

Gonna have to design some kind of cool battery cover or box now since the Interstate battery throws off the whole red color theme in my engine. *lol*

I'm still on the factory battery in the Accent. Lol.

My stock battery lasted 3.5 years. That's not bad considering how much I use the accessories with the engine off.

Mine's still going after 5.5 years and 120k miles even though it spent a couple of years powering my 1000+ watt RMS stereo system. I expect it to die soon though. Either that or I'll replace it as preventative maintenance.

Depends on the battery also. I would of thought my Optima would of lasted MUCH longer than just 4 years, but oh well. tongue.gif

3 years?? Damn, I just changed the one in my 99 Accent ... it was still holding a charge, but I figured since I was changing the Alt, I should change the batt too!
Maybe I'll hook the OEM one up as a second for my amps
