Random flat tire.....great.
Soo..I pulled into sheetz today to get some gas very casually. you know no rush or anything. I went in to pay and came out and there was a guy standing by my car looking at it. I walked up and he goes "you gotta get some air in this tire immediately." So i look at it...front left tire so flat and i can hear all the air leaving the tire. So im like ok Im at sheetz i will just coast on over to the air pump and fill it. So i go to fill it and it says i was at 18 psi...dont get me wrong this sh*t was real flat.so i fill it to 32 and go to put the valve cap back on...this is where it gets interesting and random. As i put the valve cap on the air starts leaving the tire...i take the valve cap off and its fine. The valve caps i was using were from pep boys and they were the kind that let you know when its under a certain psi. so i put on some other caps for now. just hoping anything serious isn't going on. And yes i checked to make sure nothing was in the cap.
This shouldn't even be in the char pit, but it made me late for work..which makes me angry. fire1.gif

Don't ever give my wife 35 series tires, or you might get this:
I got some "tire pressure gauges are for sissies" excuse or something like that after checking it and reinflating it from 15PSI a couple times. I had to shell out $189 for a new tire, those 18's were not cheap.
The tread section passed her when it came off.

there's nothing left in the tire after that stuff fills in the cracks. tire shops can shove it, they're getting their money to replace the tire, not complain about fix-a-flat

lol thats funny cuz you think fix-a-flat actually works to "fill in the cracks" the best ones are the people who put more than 1 can in when it doesnt seal your 1/4" hole then you have 2lbs of liquid sitting at the bottom of a tire like its gonna seal if you keep adding more
if you get it out of the tire fast enough it wont harm the tire, your not supposed to drive cross country on a can of fix a flat its just supposed to get you to a tire store
also
most of that sh*t is toxic and can hurt the guy busting the tire down
its not that we hate it, we hate it when people dont mention that then when we bust it down we get a lung full of toxic chemicals

I have been around enough tire guys while fixing there machines and Faith prety much nailed it. what i hate though is the rediculous amount of tire lube built up on the turn table (an everywhers else) when i get called out to fix the damm things. I carry a putty knife just for this reason.
