something lately, not pointing anyone out particularily, has been pissing me off. theres soo many good members here, and then theres the few that need a kick in the head (figuratively).

why, u ask?

well theres been SOOOO many posts on this forum lately, about how do i do this, how do i do that, what should i do to my car, etc. etc.. etc..

people its getting fvcking boring, and old, and repetitive, and repetitive, and redundant, and repetitive.. get the picture..

first off, there should be a new RULE. the search button NEEDS to be used somehow by these n00bs. i dont care how tedius it is, or how much a PITA they think it is, they should HAVE to use it..

i am usually ok with stuff like that, when people ask what turbo should i get? what do i need to turbo my car? but it keeps coming, over and over.. what the hell?!?!? theres soo much information on these forums, and within the first few pages of each forum, why do they need to keep doing this crap...seriously.. its getting to the point where me, and a few others are getting sick of seeing the same BS every damn week..

then theres the n00bs that come here asking what they should do, or saying what they're gonna do, or how when they did the same mod everyone else did, they got a HUGE unheard of gain..

and to top the cake the people that ask for opinions, get THE best opinions from the top tib guys, and EVERY theoretical way to do a certain thing, and then dont take the advice.. even if its giving criticism... constructivly... either dont ask for help, or take the advice...

im not gonna point out any specific events, or posts, because i would be violating rules and causing un needed drama, but alot of the members know what i am talking about..

if you cant take advice from experienced members, and uber knowledgable members, then theres no reason to ask or be a part of this forum community.. seriously.. everyone helps, or trys to help everyone, so why not take the help being offered?

Amen!

Q-"What turbo should i get, and would I need to get new headers?"

A-"You obviously need to learn more about turbos before you decide what your buying"

Q- "Whatever, why dont you just answer my question, OH and is this ebay turbo kit really for our cars? www.ebay.com/BStiburonturbokit, should i get it?"

I'd have to agree on most of that. My issue is that there are folks out there that will stick around the forums for a week or 2 to get a feel for the site, before they ever start posting, just so they know what they are doing.

The rash of folks coming in after the last few magazine articles has been crazy. The amount of folks that dont' know we are here is astounding. What's even crazier though, is the fact that many people don't think that their question has been asked.

We've been here for 3 years. Some of us have been Hyundai people for 6 years or more.

All new folks to this hobby start off with the ricer stuff. It's a fact. I started off with some neons and LED washer nozzles. When I started to see what was gaudy and not though, I changed what I was doing. When I found that you can have style AND performance out of the same car, and out of the SAME MODIFICATIONS (IE: colored FAL Fans, colored silicone rad hoses, anodized pulley sets, lightweight but functional and bad ass looking rims, ceramic coated exhaust and intake parts, ect), I changed completely.

People need to understand a few things.

1. Freedom of speech is guaranteed, but the internet is not so. You are posting on someone's site, they paid for it and are the dictators of said site.

2. We have rules here on this site and enforce them. Every 6 months or so we have a few complaints, but 98% of the members here follow the rules and enjoy the directness of the site.

3. I'm not your rabbi. I will tell you what I think, and I'll be direct about it. Beating around the bush is for panzies, get to the point, admit when you are wrong, and move on.

4. THE SITE RULES HERE SAY YOU WILL GET CRITICISM FOR YOUR PICTURES! Don't post them if you don't want to get laughed at. I post stuff all the time and get called out. The huge footrest in my car for example. f*** you if you don't like it, I wear size 13 shoes. LOL

Plain and simple. We don't get paid to run this site. It's all volunteer. Ask a question in a professional manner and you will get answers. Type like you are 2 and you won't. Ask for help on how to do something, you'll get answers. ANSWERS. This doesn't mean that you will get spoon fed with the information you were hoping for. This means you may get a response you don't like.

Deal with it. Professionally.

Times like this I wish there was a mandatory enlistment, to show folks how to act in public. 3/4 of you would never talk to someone you just met in person like you do on here.

One last thing.

5. REALIZE, that this site has been here for 3 years. 3 friggin years. Performance modifications have been around for what, 100 years? Physics don't change, only style and taste and technology. Your questions have PROBABLY been asked, and the answers PROBABLY won't change much.

everyone gets a few stupid questions... Generally, if they're under 100 posts i'll do a search for them. These guys are new to forums and make stupid posts alot. They figure it out eventaually..... maybe even their 1500th post could be a stupid one.

HAPPY 1500 posts to me!!!!!

there are a few good old members on here. owners who definitely don't let go of their cars too easily. but recently i've seen rdtiburon change like i haven't seen before. maybe it's been a little lonely since OdessitPashka left (poor guy just woke up one morning, looked out of the window and realized the good ol' tiburon had to go) i hardly see anyone on here i used to, just a few strong ones in the crowd.

truth is, we are people behind these cars. everyone sold their cars. no more cars, no more people. recently i've seen waves of new users coming in. waves! numbers and wierd names. just difficult usernames such as "Kh01121" or something as plain as "sharkracer" hard to remember. then i see them post noob questions or problems with their cars. then i see their post count is only 4. then they're gone. and it's a cycle.

i hope you guys hang in tight because i know i am. well at least when i drool over the 2010 model. then everyone of us is going to register at like "www.HXTiburon.com" or something. i try to stay here and available, but i must admit it's killin' my youth and my eyes. i love it though and i'll be helping as much as i can.

hey, I am still here and I do not even have a tib anymore. I do agree with the general gist of this board. For a while there, it was like work coming here everyday and sorting through the junk posts.

i agree that the same questions get asked over and over, but this happens on all forums really. its not even that bad here really. we are still a VERY small forum. i mod over a forum that has over 25,000 more members then RDT, and it can get out of hand at times.

just remember that mods are here to help members, not police them like many seem to think.
