First, pay out of pocket, don't bother with insurance. Second, get another estimate... dealers tend to be high because they usually sub out the paint work.

+1 for another estimate. That dealer estimate aint bad, but if the dealer said 554 you could probally find a shop to do it for 480-500.

it's not too bad, but it does need a professional hand if you're looking to match it exactly. at least you didn't crack or bend something in.

sucks that your boss made you move the car though.

i agree! get another opinion if you want to save a few dollars and leave the insurance out of it. it will cost more in the long run if they can fix it for just over $500.00.

I hit 3 poles holding up an awning with a golf cart. How you like me now, Sunshine?

just got a new estimate on my car because there was a dent in the quarter panel that we didn't notice which bumped the price to $1115. FML.

Ouch! Well, since you're only paying half of the deductible...its not too bad I guess as far as out of pocket expenses go.

Yeah quaterpanels are bitchs when it comes to repairing them. Just my .02 if they didnt notice it when they gave you the first estimate, Im guessing that it is really, really small and unnoticable I would just pay the 500 and some dollars to repair the bumper and leave the dent.
