Default Oops :(

Background:
We are in the middle of our annual Billfish Tournament, so I was working the parking lot near the weigh station (which is located at our other marina about a 1/4 mile down the road) to make sure owners of boats had enough room to park. I parked my car in such a way that all boat owners would see it because they know my car. My boss, John, decided he wanted me to move my car over A FOOT. Absolutely no reason to, but I humored him.

My car was in reverse, actually in motion when John says "oh by the way, watch that *crack* pole behind you." Thank you. Fkin thank you. You can see by the pictures that there's no way I could've seen that from inside my car and I hardly EVER go to this side of our marina so I don't know where everything is.

We used to be 416 Southside Road. We are now 41 Southside Road. No idea where the 6 went, and no it's not lodged in my car anywhere. I looked.

Fabulous Damage.

So John said I should claim it as a hit & run and I said absolutely not, I can't lie. (I'm a horrible liar and ALWAYS get caught.) So he agreed to pay half my deductible, which is $500.

Needless to say.. it's been quite a day. I didn't really get TOO upset, just because my bumper needed new paint anyway.

Most of that would buff out. but it looks like some sports it went down to the base plastic. At least its not cracked.

That sucks a lot, but at least it looks like it's only the bumper. Damage to the quarter panel is a lot worse. It looks deeply gauged near the wheelwell, it might be best to get a new bumper too. sad.gif

Yeah that sucks. You need to go get an estimate. If its not too much more than your $500 deductible you should pay it out of your pocket, even for that little damage your insurance will get jacked up since your young.

Thats super easily fixable! The dealer will most likely sand it down and re-spray to cut costs, but at the same time...I would just ask for a new bumper all together. It will cost more to your insurance, but you'll want it done right with new parts.
