try a obd2 scanner and voila! i get a code</div>
Actually the 1994 Mustang with 3.8 is OBD2. There are several cars in 94 that were OBD2 a bunch more in 95 and then it was mandatory in 96.
Sorry about your problems. I bought a 5.0 Mustang LX new in 1990. I had a string of CEL's which resulted in a number of sensors being replaced during the first two years. Shortly after the two year mark when the warranty ran out I got rid of the car. It was a hell of a lot of fun. There was nothing available anywhere near the price that had the same performance but I couldn't take the lack of quality. Ford actually had a recall on my car related to the onboard diagnostic system. I always suspected they just disconnected the CEL to save them money from warranty repairs.

Not to be an ass, but I can't understand why you guys bought Ford. Consumer Reports has given Ford the lowest ratings for many years running, and they are always on the least reliable cars list too.

yeah tell me about it
when the engine blew on it
we had a choice:
get a reman engine with a minor warranty from a authorized ford dealer
or
a friend of mine crashed his COBRA and said i could have it for whatever the insurance would charge him to keep it
engine, trans, ecu, EVERYTHING was usable he backed into a poll goin rather quick... so all i would need to do would be to hang a GT rear end on this mustang and get a custom drive shaft and i would have been good
guess which route she chose 02.gif
