Don't shut your hatch when there's something sticking up. lol....
yesterday i decided to do laundry, so i packed everything in my trunk, try shutting it and it doesn't fit. so i move one of my clothes bags, which happened to have my detergant in it. i lay it on the ground and slam the hatch shut.... well, the detergent was sticking up and slammed into the glass shattering my rear window.
oh, and to make things even more fantastic, it was raining all day yesterday.
so, i went to my mothers to get some plastic to cover the massive hole. unfortunately NO tape would stick because of the wetness (including duct tape). i get a quote locally since i don't have glass coverage. $425 and can't be done til monday. i call up a place 20 minutes away and they say $280 and can be done that day. so i go with them. i get a friend to follow me up so i'm not stuck there all day. i get on the highway and by the time i hit 50mph the plastic is flapping all over the place so i had to pull over and just take it off. i get to the place assuming they could get workin on it right away (2:00) so i never put the plastic back on. 4:00 comes around and its still sitting outside in the rain. i was kinda pissed.
3½ hours later its finally finished. what blows is i had an etched glass RDT windshield banner back there. now i don't. freakin stupid...
so, the moral of the story: MAKE SURE YOU CAN SHUT THE HATCH BEFORE YOU TRY SHUTTING IT. haha

That musta sucked trying to clean all that glass up.
That is another reason I tinted my windows, because it's a lot safer if those kind of things were to happen. If that happened to me, my rear window probably wouldve cracked but the tint film would've kept it all in place.=)
