Wow..... this is going to blow up into a huge mess, I can sense it now.
I'm going to state my position from the start:
I have NO problem with any individual member or staff at NT. I don't agree with the way things are run, but that's my opinion.
I think it's shallow of our own members to classify an entire group of people (e.g., GK owners OR NT members) as ANY stereotype, regardless of what percentage we want to say fit that profile. I have both an RD and GK in my family, as do quite a few RDT loyal members.
I don't want to start a forum war. It's a known fact that members from our forum (myself included) have had multiple posts and/or threads deleted, for which we thought was valid content. I personally had several posts deleted, and several remain, from a thread regarding FlyRyde. Because several posts WERE deleted and others weren't, Chris ENTIRELY misunderstood my post as being a targetted attack on his business. At the time, I spoke with Chris (blacktibs / FlyRyde) often on the phone regarding the situation, and the fact that posts mysteriously disappeared without warning really hurt our relationship until we got it figured out. That shit is wrong, and happens quite often. It's stuff like that, that I believe had really hurt NT's reputation: Disappearing posts.
I also believe that the sponsors ultimately pay for protection. I feel more should be done about any shady business that takes place, and I've seen the moderators/admins claim that they haven't been made aware of such, though several topics exist in the corresponding vendor forum. What bothers me the most, is that I feel the staff at NT should do more to protect it's members from the vendors. That's really my only issue.
But, that's the way they run their site. Good/bad/indifferent... that's the way it is. We realize it, so we have to play by the rules if we wish to post there.
I don't want to personally be against any other staff member or forum, but I know there's a lot of bad blood and shady things that have happened in the past.

I have not ever seen that, but im not saying it didnt happen. im sorry that it did happen to you. I agree some venders do mess around and treat the consumer terrible. I just wanted to come in here and tell you guys its not always bad. and I apologize on behalf of the people who make fun of your cars. its rude and uncalled for.

the car is a generation of the RD

I have an 08 and i am happy to have it its my first tib. Just want you to know that not all of us are morons and there are alot of us on here who not only respect what you have to say but also agree. I respect all car enthusiasts and love talking to anyone and anything about tibs

I agree with Rat and 08tibby.
It could just as easily have been one of our former members (now banned) that made a bad name for RDT by going to NT and trash talking. There will always be a few bad apples, and we can't judge all GK owners based on the remarks of a few... that's just ignorance.

Look at some of the OT in the mirror thread. That's something we could never tolerate here. The only business accepted here is that of great customer service in return for absolutely nothing but that.
from my experience, NT is definitely not the place for old schoolers and newgenesiscoupe won't be either. hyundaiaftermarket, hyundaiperformance given the unity of all generations, rdtiburon, ukhcs, even elantraxd will always welcome the community together closer than newtiburon. so there's nothing to complain about.

Obviously my original post in this thread hurt some feelings, so please feel free to delete it....
The point that I was trying to make was that they asked for advice, I gave a simple solution, instead of taking the advice they asked for....they went and did a whole list of other things, costing them more money.....and in the end....all the had to do was take off a plastic cover.....
I've had similar experiences with 3...yes...3 different people....all similar. If you ask for advice...take it...don't ignore it then b**** about how much it cost to fix....when it could have been fixed the first time.
