gotta love my rside knob.. blisters in the summer, gets stuck to it and frostbite in the winter.

i will probably get a new shift knob one of these days or try and find my OEM knob and put that back on.

and hkc, your M is for machine lmao.gif lmao.gif wow... seriously.. that was hilarious.

in metric threads, 10mm is the size of MAJOR diameter of the thread.. the drill size would be a 8.5mm. the nut that would go onto a m10 x 1.25 should be around a 14mm not a 17mm.

crap, that means that mine is M10 X 1.5. I kept searching around and i found it to be M10 X 1.25. Guess the info was wrong.

m10 x 1.5 and m10 x 1.25 have the SAME size nut (meaning use same wrench) just diff. threads. no m10 uses a 17mm nut, unless you got a freaky ass nut.

Could be worse.. I learned to drive on an 1971 Formula Firebird.. 4 speed trans with the Hurst aluminum T handle shifter.. you can just imagine the pain when it got hot or cold

I can't seem to be able to use any aftermarket knobs... I have the RSide advanced shifter, and it has a female end for the shift knob, not the normal male threaded end sticking out. Any ideas as to how to get around that?

ok, officially confused. Im holding the nut on my hand right now and it fits inside a 17mm wrench perfectly(someone is going to be a smart ass about that comment.) I guess i do have a freaky ass nut.

LoL, now, onto bare metal shifter knobs.

i have a stainless steel polished knob, its about a half a pound maybe more, which means when it gets hot it stays hot.

What do i do about it? Curse.

Then I either leave it as is and let it gradually cool down, or unscrew the knob and turn on the ac and hold the knob up to it.

Why not go back to a leather knob?

I love the feel of this knob and its super sexy, but im thinking about a new shifter itself

i think DTN just got schooled... kinda literally too... lol

I actually dont mind the hot metal knobs, its the universal ones that bug the shiz out of me, they seem to loosen up all the time.The easy fix for the metals is really keeping a piece of cloth around.

I have used universal Momo knobs in both my Tib and my Bimmer.. and I have a nice chrome ball one that will go into the fiat (very ferrari like) and I have NEVER had a problem with them loosening up.

best shift knob ever is the oem one from an 01 eclipse. feels great looks great..
