Didn't Isis destroy statues? I guess we should blow up mount rushmore now. America is so confusing to me.

Driving drunk is illegal, but we don't take matter into our own hands and kill the drunk by an angry mob. There are legal ways to get things done and tearing down monuments in the name of "justice" because you're butthurt over it isn't the way to do it.





There's a video on Facebook of these kids getting arrested days afterwards.

 

You're talking about the ONE monument that was illegally pulled down, and yes, they should be arrested and charged with vandalism and/or criminal mischief. I'm talking about the several that were voted on and legally removed.



Another false equivalency... "If you support the legal removal, you also support illegally tearing down".

 

The title of this thread is "....topple statues."



To topple is to remove by force, overturning, and causing to fall. Presumably, this is by illegal force.

Statue(s) is plural, meaning more than 1, and not referring to the 1 done legally.



Not to mention he also said "destroy statues". Obviously this thread is about the illegal and future removal of multiple statues, not just the one you keep trying to direct our attention to. Not our fault you can't read the title, or read the room for that matter.

 

False equivalency is false, but now we hear calls from elected Democrats to remove confederate statues...even people talking about blowing up Stone Mountain in Georgia. All of a sudden... because this was so important for the last 8 years (or something).

 

Oh, I guess I just didn't realize that one incident, involving people who were caught and arrested warranted getting one's panties in a knot. By all mean, carry on hissy fitting.
