I saw one of these on a tv show where they did refrigerator repair somewhere in florida. There was like 2 out of 10 guys that actually were honest, and one guy only was because it was clear he SAW the camera, LOL. Basically they cut one power wire loose, most mechanics would take it apart, see the loose wire and make up parts of the fridge that were bad. One time the guy came back and asked what was wrong and if the repairman could show him, then walked away for a second and the repairman took out like a wrench and started banging on something inside to break it and then pulled it out when the guy got back and said "this is the problem"
jiffylube sucks balls, and so does every other mechanic. I can't believe that shit

Jiffy Lube complaints.
And I would never take my car to the dealer, they are just as dishonest. My local Toyota dealership has flat out lied to me on multiple occasions, and unfortunately they're one of the "better" dealers in town.
The best place to take your car is an independant shop with a spotless reputation. Not a chain. I did a lot of shopping around before I found my current shop, it's a frame and front end repair place where mechanics from other garages even recommend and take their cars for custom work.
Go to local car forums, go to places like Napa and Advance Auto and find out where those people get their work done. They usually know who is good and who isn't.

Hey i work at a Mazda/buick/gmc dealer and we have pretty good customer service, no one hardly ever complains, but from what i can see all the techs work pretty hard and dont mess around if a customer is unhappy with work it will be re-done by a different tech, free i belive.

well i worked in a lube shop for abit, imo i would never take my car to any kind of lube shop no matter what it is, saw cars come in from all sorts of places with lots of different problems
places to never take your car to
1. Canadian tire / walmart
2. Dealerships
3. lube shops (unless your allowed to get out of your car or waiting room and physically watch them)
imo at least
