and ill be 22 years old and not paying rent, own both of my cars, and pay out of my own pocket to put my wife to school without any handouts(not even a pell grant)

You don't own a house. You are attempting to BUY a house. You own 2 POS cars, one of which barely runs and the other hasn't run in over a year. I own 2, and one runs perfectly, the other I bought broke, and we are paying on another that runs perfectly fine. As for paying for your wife's education, who cares? I'm not getting handouts, I served my time honorably in the military and am being appropriately compensated for it.

8.50 an hour times 40 hours a week times 52 weeks a year = 17,680, before taxes.

Let's say you work more than that.

8.50 an hour times 60 times 52 = 26,520 a year.

8.50 an hour times 80 times 52 = 35,360 a year.

You don't work 80 hours a week, I know that for sure, and $35,000 a year was the STARTING rate for that job.
