Mine's an 03, and I've bought factory matched paint and never had any issues. I figured it would be faded and match like crap, but it's exactly the same shade as the original. I'm guessing it'll be okay, maybe not perfect but okay. Especially with it being on a different panel.

You'll have to look up your paint code to be sure it matches, or be on the extra safe side and buy the unpainted one and have it painted to match.
