So yesterday it was storming pretty bad here and the usual puddle outside of my apartment complex was a little larger so i drove up and coasted through turning my intake into a straw, then I stalled out and had to push my car over to a parking lot.

Finally got it started and there was a knocking noise, brought it to a shop today and the guy just called and said a rod bent and i'd need a motor.

not fun. Wish i went through the front gate.

Damn man, i'm really sorry to hear that. That's terrible!
I worry about that happening every time I see parking lot puddles. 02.gif

dang man... tell us what your RPM was sitting at. I want to know more... Speed, RPM, how hard you hit the puddle, how deep the puddle was... all of it.

I was coasting through in neutral from just turning a corner from a stop, so it was pretty slow. RPM were probably were at like idle or lower cuz my idle dips cuz my idle air control hose has a kink. Puddle was pretty deep, it just finished hailing and pouring outside.

An adjuster is checking it out tomorrow and hopefully they wont b**** about the aftermarket parts(crosses fingers) and pay for it. laugh.gif

yeah dude if they see you have a cai, they definitely won't cover it, considering that aftermarket part is exactly what caused the damage.

That's good, I guess you'll think twice the next time a puddle comes your way.
