A few members from HA, were on HP and they had Hyundai Aftermarket avatars, and some had the link in their signatures. Not only did the HP Nazi's put Hyundai Aftermarket as a bad word filter so it doesnt show, but they also removed everyones avatars, and they perma-banned me!

Here's the message I get when I try to go to there:

https://i136.photobucket.com/albums/...nz1977/ban.jpg

I'm going to be contacting the admin through email and telling him to remove every single one of my DIY's since they are intellectual property. If they are not removed within 48 hours, the corporation that owns the site, will be receiving a letter from my attorney.

What sucks is some people had links to DIY's they put up on Hyundai Aftermarket in their sigs, that were bneficial to members, and now those links dont work anymore since the bad word filter overwrites the link address. So gay!

So take this as a warning....if anyone puts a link in their signatures or puts up an avatar that talks about another forum, or website....you'll have it removed and you take a risk of being perma-banned. I was a member of that site since the beginning when Rob created it, and I was part of the staff up until the corporation bought it. They removed me as a Mod, and now this because I had links to HA.

Not only is that site now on the same level as NT (in my eyes), but its also filled even more now with banner ads, spam, and spyware.....YES, SPYWARE! My spyware software pops up like crazy every time I go there. So be very careful what you do if any of you are still on that site.

One member actually started a thread raising some hell over there. Feel free to add to it, and get my back if anyone wants....lol

Posted the following.

QUOTE

Wow, how the once mighty have fallen. Littered with ads, and now you are so afraid of your fellow Hyundai websites that you pull this crap?

Really?

Visionz has done more than most of the legendary names in Hyundai Tuning combined, both to keep the community alive, and promote the brand, and you guys perma ban him?

This guy has put hundreds of hours into my site, www.rdtiburon.com (go ahead and block that one too), one that could be seen as a competitor, to get it working as smoothly as possible. Members should be rewarded for such things, and the community means much more than any one website.

I will no longer, EVER, recommend this website to anyone ever again. This website will never be in my signature when contacting new parts developers, Hyundai corporate, or in any of my official correspondence.

Kinda amazing when members look fondly on the old days of Autobot and hundred page nonsense threads. Rob ruined an institution by selling out, and you've ruined a once great site.

Hope your next girlfriend has syphillis and doesn't tell ya.

'treezy 10-04-2009 01:19 PM

HAHA, childish.

f*** em..

Not worth your time visionz.

SOCKS_old 10-04-2009 02:39 PM

suchs a bummer.. was the first hyundai site i belonged to. was sooooo much fun back in the day before rob sold it.

was ok for a while then it just got REALLLY bad and useless.. wish there was an easy way to get people to boycott it and go to HA or another site.. like make hyundaiperformance.org or something..

specially bullshit when they ban HA members, cuz they wanna have a 'monopoly'.

they have no passion for the hyundai scene at all obviously and are just in it for the money.. pathetic.

i8acobra 10-04-2009 04:21 PM

I removed myself as an Admin over there several months ago.

majik 10-04-2009 06:09 PM

^ ^ I wish we could've used that to our benefit somehow.

Stocker 10-04-2009 11:07 PM

I perma-banned myself when the new owners clearly were only interested in (somehow? ) trying to make money off the site. HP is dead to me. At least the ghost of FXTreme lives on @ HA, but HP is just rotting in a field somewhere waiting to be buried.

Visionz 10-05-2009 08:37 AM

I sent them an email this morning. They now have 48 hours to remove my content and DIY's or else they will be receiving a letter from my attorney. He's been contacted also, and is ready to draft up the letter as well. If its not removed, I will go forward and file an ordinance for a lawsuit due to them using my intellectual property and content against my approval.

i8acobra 10-05-2009 02:02 PM

I guess I could request they remove my B&M shifter install guide since it's the property of Spyraled Media, not HP. I'm not worried about it though since the pictures in the guide don't work on their site for some reason.

187sks 10-05-2009 02:02 PM

So dumb...

They perma-banned me too. Best as I can tell it was the HA avatar and signature.

FlyRyde 10-05-2009 03:11 PM

lol, Autobot, effin priceless.

REDZMAN 10-05-2009 05:37 PM

The admin over there has posted, and so has Rob.

01tibby 10-05-2009 05:53 PM

what about the dreaded AUT0BOT(jed). hilarious.

sad to see the site go to shit.

i8acobra 10-05-2009 06:03 PM

Autobot = Kirk... not Jed.

187sks 10-05-2009 06:09 PM

But AUT0BOT= Jed. Lol.

He got a vacation for that one if I remember right.

i8acobra 10-05-2009 07:33 PM

Yeah. We banned a bunch of people for impersonating. 4UTOBOT was another.

FlyRyde 10-05-2009 08:11 PM

I think its only funny if you actually got to hang out with the guys in person. Kirk, Clint, Rob, Aaron, Random, etc. Those days are what got me into this for life. Them and Yuri, lol, jebus the list goes on.

187sks 10-05-2009 08:14 PM

To answer Redz' question on HP since I can't there, no I was never warned in any way. Just banned one day.

Visionz 10-06-2009 06:39 AM

Same here....no one ever said anything to me that we couldnt have HA in our signatures or in our avatars....nor could we point people to other sites if someone was looking for a DIY. Kind of stupid rules to have over there, but evidently they're set in their ways and its not allowed. BTW, you all do know that the Admin doesnt own a Hyundai, right? *lol* Makes total sense....non Hyundai owner buying a Hyundai site and becoming a Nazi to the members! *hahaha*

Josh - what kind of bullshit is this? We don't need you coming into OUR forum, and redirecting people to YOUR website.

STOP STEALING OUR MEMBARS!

i kid i kid

Visionz 10-07-2009 12:24 PM

*haha* I guess I should take that RDT Banner down off the main site on HA, then! Wouldnt want people to think I like you guys or anything.... tired.gif nana.gif fing02.gif

Stocker 10-07-2009 01:48 PM

You really should. The car tuning world should be an insular place where nobody shares knowledge, skills, or experience. We should snipe each others' board members and ban those who make even a passing reference to another board.

Can't have a sense of community! Can't have shared knowledge! Can't have friendships! It just wouldn't be proper!

Visionz 10-08-2009 11:54 AM

LMFAO!!!!

http://www.hyundaiperformance.com/forums/n...orum-rules.html

Just posted today...I think they are WORST than NT fo sho!

- Bumping threads results in a ban
- Links in sigs, avatars, or user names will result in a ban
- Posting full articles from CNN or other sites results in a ban
- Promoting other vendors in competion with the forum vendors results in a ban

You guys are bad. Anyone who's ideas are slightly different (nevermind democratic) and lets face it, educated, and can be measured with a micrometer, is instantly relegated as a heretic.

Relax guys, it's just the internet. There is a real life out there... IMO the higher the number of posts you have, the less in touch you are with reality.

Or you have too much time on your hands, in which case I will pay to have some work done to my car!

Also, pulling back DIY articles and threatening to sue seems a bit vindictive, if not childish. I understand the motivation, but come on now, why resort to their level? Its a website with some words on it, one of BILLIONS. Adding property to information is such a western thing to do... you guys kill me!

Also, AUT0BOT FTW!!

REDZMAN 12-11-2009 09:53 PM

October, November, December...

AND POST!

Jed118 12-13-2009 03:02 AM
