OK so basically went up to Car Club on Thurs night... mostly usual and what not.
Most everyone took off to head up to Sonic's to get some free food (one of the girls works up there).
Bout 5min later I get a call saying to make sure nobody leaves. Bout a min later, my
friend pulls in riding in some Civic... ok........

Turns out that a Neon that was up there for the first time that night had been swerving
in and out thinking he was hot$h!t and then looked down... looked up and realized he was
bout to hit the car some of my friends were in. He's doing bout 50 ish... so instead of braking
he rips the E-brake and spins 360 and clips the back of the Monte Carlo.

Monte Carlo goes spinning... winds up in some trees. The Monte Carlo is totaled.
My friend is pretty banged up but not serious. Another kid in the 'Carlo got sent to the ER.
Neon runs off... then comes back (Wtf?). No tag, no license, no insurance, no registration...

Next day. Shane's dad gets into a accident on I-75 in Gainsville (like 1 1/2hr drive away)
and his car is totaled. #$@! But not the worst of it. Bout 15min after he finally gets back
into town, he comes up to my buddy's work and we all hang out. We agree to split so Shane
can drop his friend off. Bout 10min later I get a car. SAME exact spot on the truck route he
got into a accident. A pot-head lady in a Van pulled in front of him with bout 15ft stopping distance.
He's doing bout 50 ish (speed limit). T-bones the van. Both are totaled. He gets sent to the ER.
The lady gets air lifted out to Halifax (Daytona Beach hosp.).

02.gif I'm seriously freaked out to the point I'm now refusing to drive on the truck route.
Twice back to back around the same time ? Both resulting in people being sent to the ER ?
Screw that. UG@#R%T$#FV... sorry just had to rant 02.gif 02.gif

Whoah! Man I'm sorry to hear that. I hope things start looking up for you.

I can relate, I had two friends die. One,two weeks ago, died when he was t-boned my a eighteen wheeler. The other was killed in a ATV accident on the same road the night the other guy was burried... sad.gif I've stayed away from the road but I nearly met the same fate.

There have been tons of crashes and close calls lately. I think i's because school has just let out but that's just my opinion.

Anyway, watchout and becareful.

mad.gif @$#@#$ I just sent to check on my back brakes. Their fine but
1) need rotors turned (not too big of a deal)
2) My camber is pretty much out of alignment - result ? Steel showing on almost new tires
So... I can afford the alignments & rotors but not new tires as well 02.gif 02.gif

I'm just waiting for more bad news. Seems its going that way

Toe or whichever... idk not even sure. Wasn't even in a good
attention-paying frame of mind @ the time and really wasn't
paying attention xcept tire ware & the ware on the brakes.
Note I'm still a newb @ this, my friends and the dad of one checked it.
End result got to go check up on tires sometime today & have it looked at.

The Neon ~ we know we he works.... his brother shows up regular @ car club.
02.gif Now a friend had something bad happen to her... I won't say it but its pretty bad.
I just wish I'd done more than simply tell her to "stop drinking, your drunk" on the phone.

For some reason people are getting retarded on the roads... in Indiana there was a group of 150 bikers going down a road... a car going the opposite direction decided to cross line after he starts going by the bikers... 3 were killed. On top of it all the bikers had a police escort as they were doing some kind of run for charity to help pay medical expenses for underpriviledged children. Weather was beautiful and the 18 year old kid had to have seen the group of 150 bikers.. Really weird, they still arent sure what happened yet..
Linky to accident story.

Personally, i blame gas prices. People are looking at driving as too much of a luxury and not paying attention to driving.

Sorry to hear about your friends. Ppl are always getting cut off on 15-A...there are some pretty bad blind intersections in a couple of places.

What size wheels do you have? I have a couple of 205/45/17 (I think) tires that have good tread. I just installed new wheels/tires and I don't need them. PM me.
