didnt know where to put this topic so i slapped it in here...

here we go. i recently noticed my horn was starting to go out... weird huh. it comes and goes, havent gotten a chance to get under there and check on it but something is screwed up.

next... my air bag light keeps coming on. it will come on for a little while and then go off. whats up with that. could something be shorted out in my steering wheel that is screwing with the air bag and horn???

My friend had a problem like that.. he got water up in his wheel well and it affected the horn. Not sure how it happened but that might have been the cause? check in your driver side wheel well for any gaps where water could spray up from the wheels.

The horns are no where near your wheel wells.

Go get some 132DB horns and replace yours mang. One HIGH note, one LOW note horn. That's what I did, and they work great.

Or, you can have my OEM ones for like 10 bucks shipped for both.

As for the airbag light, I've got the same thing.

while he has a 2000.. the earlier RD1s have one horn in front of the radiator and the other in the driver's side fender. Just something to remember.

I've never used my horn I don't think LOL, on both cars. That probably comes from living out in the country unlike you city folk.

As for the airbag light, as long as it comes and goes its probably not an airbag related problem, maybe something bad in the wiring.

When I got my car, one horn was dead and the other one went out shortly thereafter. It was kind of like yours, it would come and go. Anyway, new horns are cheap ($10 each) and easy to install.

Right on, did you get them just because or did your originals go out? Do they sound a helluva better than the little Beep, Beep that ours sound like?
