so i'd like to give a synopsis of my dealings w/ ssautochrome.

june 4th- i bought headers off of ebay from ssac. no catbacks were listed for auction at that time but were listed on the ssac site. in the additional info section i wrote something along the lines of i'll take the catback too! they replied promptly with a reciept and some message about a robot leaving positive feedback once positive feedback is recieved, but as both of these e-mails were automated nothing got back to me about the cat back. and yes i did leave positive feedback.

june 6th- i realized there was no response so i tried looking for a phone# to call them-...no such # listed other than a fax (and i not knowing how to fax didn't bother). i managed to find motoria's site (the manufatcurer of the exhaust that ssac sells)

june 7th- i had been in contact with motoria about postal codes and dealer locations. this is what jinni from motoria (a great guy to be honest) had sent me

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Dear Steve, Thank you for your postal information. We would like to inform you the website www.ssautochrome.com for your convenient contact for the part. They are our faithful partner in US and will help you for the part . Thank you and cheers Best regard Jinni</div>

i then sent this to jinni-

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>dear jinni, i really appreciate your quick response, but i've tried contacting ssautochrome.com many times (3 different emails) and they have yet to get back to me. i did however buy a set of headers from them off of ebay and they are extremely nice. if you happen to have a phone # for ssautochrome.com or if you could contact them directly for me, i'd be more than happy to get the exhaust system from them. again i really appreciate your help. thanks -steve</div>

and jinni pulls some strings

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Dear Steve We will contact them and ask them what was happen in there.
And request them to contact you soon. Have a nice weekend Regards, Jinni</div>

june 9th- by this time i'd like to mention that i did NOT yet try to buy the exhaust listed on the ssac site. if i had so much trouble getting in touch with them, i wasn't gonna risk $300 with them. i did recieve my FIRST email from ssac!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>HELLO We will have the Tiburon Catbacks in stock in about 21 days Please email " POWERPOP " @ SSAUTOCHROME.COM Then - we can fill your order OR - visit www.ssautochrome.com Thanks!</div>

june 21st- june 9th+21 days=30th of june-... exhaust expected to be in stock. i placed my order early (21st of june) to ensure i'd get mine

july 7th- no word on exhaust i emailed ssac again.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>hi there, i ordered a tiburon cat back exhaust (97-01) a couple of weeks ago (order #PRIVATE). i undersand that you were waiting for more to come in from motoria, and i was just wondering if there was any kind of update on when they will be shipped/billed. if you could please get back to me as soon as possible, it'd be greatly appreciated. thanks -steve</div>

july 8th- ssac responds with a very vague email

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>HEY Few more weeks Thanks!</div>

july 13th- wait did he say weeks!?!?!?! i email again
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>how long till the cat back comes in? -steve</div>

july 14th- another very informaitve email from ssac
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>45 DAYS</div>
45 days is more than a few weeks it's over a month with some change. i'm really starting to research other options. i am a welder i can buy mandrel bends, a muffler, flanges, resonator, hardware, and gaskets-... not to mention the apex'i exhaust has a better/easy to make design-... i think i'm gonna wait it out a bit and if ssac drops the ball, i'll make my own. so let's tally up the score july 14th+45 days=augest 28th correct?

by spetember 1st (if i remeber correctly)- i wanted to cancel my order and hang ssac by their balls with piano wire while misting the wounds of their genitalia with pepper spray. so i worte this to them
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>hello again, i would like to cancel my order for the 00-01 tiburon catback exhaust. i've waited almost 3 months to get this, and in that time, i was able to get another (better/cheaper) exhaust. below i have a copy of the receipt emailed to me on 06/21/06. i will be keeping my original copy of this receipt and this cancellation email for future reference. nice headers though, i still am very pleased with those. sorry for any inconvienience. -steve</div>
take notice how i still maintained my composure and gave them praise for the headers. and just between us rdfolks-... i told a little white lie about getting another exhaust, but i will make an honest man outta me but for now funds are a bit tight.

september 6th- ssac's customer service pulls through-... j/k there is no customer service so instead i got this!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>THERE IS NO ( BETTER ) for cheaper Maybe cheaper but ...... crapier CHINKIER ....... CHINESEIER ...... CHESSIER SOUNDING,,,,,, LIKE FARTS</div>
did anybody else notice the chineseier part? for people who support the import industry they sure sound racist to me. on top of that they mentioned absolutely nothing about cancelling my order! how fuk'n professional!

which brings us to present day when i found that lil' diddy in my inbox.... i responded with
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>so does this mean that you did cancel my order? you never realy confirmed a cancellation and be careful what you say when your talking shit "..... CHINESEIER"-... how do you know i'm not chinese. i know your making reference to exhaust sound but to some that could come off as offensive and it's very un-professional. as for my better cheaper exhaust- it's custom mandrel bent tubing welded by your's truely (aws d1.1 certifeid stainless welder all position) and uses a different design to reduce back pressure. -steve</div>
and what? yes it's true i am an aws certified d1.1 stainless tube welder all position. in the industry we call that a certified penetrator all position. custom exhaust section still not true-YET!!!!

now i'm gonna go listen to some james blunt "so you had a bad day" all thanks to ssac the chinese hating procrastinators. if they didn't have my debit card info i'd go off on them but since they do, i don't wanna risk it. so the moral of the story is "hey ssautochrome blow it out your tailpipe!"

kinda funny being that they are known as the worst sounding headers cause the metal is so thin.

LOL, good ol' ssautochrome. Reminds me of when I bought my "ceramic" coated headers from them and the ceramic fell off within a couple of days. I left them negative feedback because they refused to fix the problem. Here was there negative feedback to me on my ebay account.

what are the odds that the catback still isn't in stock. i think they got dr. phil all drunk and screwed up to write a feedback comment like that, peanuts at the circus wtf? that last email they sent ot me had to be written by someone in grammer school who hates chinese people.

first i'd like to say you just have to be patient with tiburons. two months is the minimum time to wait for a part. i think you might have been just a little impatient to be honest. i ordered my sway bars from shox.com August 11th and they admitted they arrive on october 15th for my tiburon. i told them that was fine i was used to waiting and october wasn't that far away. he then complimented my car and said he liked "you get a LOT of car for that price with a tiburon". they charged my card, and in october i will get my swaybars.

i know ebay is different, you don't know who to trust, especially ssautochrome. i'll bet they're a bunch of retard teens who really could care less about orders and customer service. they probably sell enough as it is and don't need one customer bugging them. koreans are really nice people and are very well business oriented just like the japanese. they're smart, they're devoted and they know how to make money. it's a different culture. americans on the other hand who do not get payed very well are not very respectful and could give two sh*ts about you. i know this from working at a privately owned upperclass restaurant.

it depends on what business and what type of people are behind those orders and phones. personally ordering a motoria at this point is useless. but they were kind of right, the motoria is the best thing you can get for the best price.

good luck with that man. i hope it doesn't turn out to be a waste of time... you would be the first i know to be ordering motorias directly through them.

I have, and will, recommend that no one deals with them.

We SHOULD start a boycott. The stuff they sell we can get elsewhere, from folks that don't lie or talk down to us.

BTW,w here are they located? Maybe we should go visit them?

hkc i know it sounds impatient, and maybe to most, it is. what really pissed me off was how they kept moving back the ship date. first it was 21 days from my order then almost a month later it was gonna be another 45 days (when they told me a few weeks). everytime there was a set back <u>I</u> had to be the one to email them to find out. think of it as calling in sick to work- is it better to call in before your supposed to arrive to let your boss know you can't make it, or do you not show up and wait for your boss to call you and tell you you're fired. i'm the one putting $ in their pocket (much like an employer) they could've at least gave me a heads up before i had to go looking for them. and REDZ if someone were to go looking for them try N. carolina-...bingo! i'm glad i kept the box the headers came in (return address and phone#)!!!! is it illeagal to mail dead kittens (maybe just the spine of a cat-...reference to catback)? to bad there aren't more econo priced headders for tibs, otherwise a boycott would definately put a dent in them. maybe if there was a way to get the products directly through the manufacturer. supposedly THEIR obx catback is actually the motoria, as i asked for either one. SOCKS what they did to you is absolute b/s but i don't think you can bash them for the product itself, they're just a dealer of whoever makes the damn catback. don't get me wrong i support those who support rd's but i don't support @$$holes!

^^ $#!T in a box, throw in a plastic knife and fork (maybe a spoon depending on the last time you had Taco Bell) and a folded napkin in with it......include a note saying..."Eat S***", or don't include the note and hope that they understand the reference.....

OH, and use the address of someone you don't like as the return address....just in case. You don't want to end up with that crap coming back to you.....
