Got A Flat
Today on my way to my dads house I was on the turnpike. I hit close to 105 on the way up for like 10-20 seconds(bad idea) and then coasted to like 80. While I was accelerating doing around 100, I heard a high pitched sound that almost sounded like a rock hit my car and then a few seconds later I heard the same noise again. A couple minutes later I noticed that my drivers side mirror was rattling an awful lot. Next thing was that the ride suddenly became very rough and violent. Without further ado, I pull my car to the side of the road, and I walk outside to inspect my car. Turns out that the left/rear tire has two enormous punctures in it. So I called AAA and had my car towed to my dads which was only 3 miles away at the time.
Tomorrow I'll be getting two new tires for the rear, since the front was replaced already. Any idea what could have caused this problem? I also know that my tires seemed a tad low before I left. I'm beginning to wonder if it's that wheel that is causing the problem? There is an ever so slight bend on the lip, but I do not see how I could assume the punctures were caused by it. I got all the dents in my wheels banged out, but do you think there is still some kind of dent that caused the puncture? Ack.. confused.=/

Hard to say, could be anything, if there was an accident in the area glass could have caused it. One thing to keep in mind too though is that you drove with a blown tire for a little bit too, could have made the small cracks or punctures (due to over/under inflation) expand and break apart.
Shitty deal though, how are your rims, still good I hope, I ruined my 17" Arospeed by loosing a tire. 02.gif

The wheel seems to be in okay condition. It'd just be pointless to put on new wheels if I am just going to have the same problem again. I might just get some snow tires for now, and then come spring I'll purchase some new gunmetal/black 17" rims.
