nothing more over the internet pisses me off than sellers on ebay who sell for a super cheap price and then make the shipping and handling charge rediculously high. i think they should do something like pricewatch(for computer parts) does. show the total price, not just the auction price. if the user has a shipping calculator, then show the average shipping cost or something.

it is SO aggravating clicking through all the different auctions to find one that has a realistic shipping cost. evil.gif

 

Haha. Being an ebay addict, I always tell the seller than their price is insanely too high. I take the probable weight/dimensions of the item, take the seller's zip code and my own, and then their offered shipping methods over to usps.com or ups.com and calculate it out. Then I send it to them and tell them I will contact ebay for fraud and they ship it to me for the PROPER price. Haha. smile.gif Try it sometime.

I mean, one time someone said it would cost $13 to ship a freakin' calendar from Virginia to New Jersey... Priority Mail. I laughed at them and told them it would cost $3.85 so I got shipping for $4 (of course throw in 15 cents for packaging. wink1.gif)

 

ah yes.. Shipping and handling.. I would never hold them EXACTLY to the penny on the shipping.. it does take time, energy, and money to get the package together and to the drop off point.

Now, to the original rant... I was on ebay today looking for air to water intercooling... I did notice that eBay is VERY laggy and you can hear a double click whenever you do something.. what it means, I do not know.

 

I sorta kind of use that shipping trick. I only get at most 5 bucks from it, I usually say the extra is buying the box and packaging material. BTW Toxic I love your avatar, Inuyasha rocks!

 

The main reason these guys do it is Ebay charges folks a percentage of what the AUCTION price is. Not on S/H. Yeah, get them for fraud, I do.
