That's why I don't buy from Ebay. I've heard it works, and then again, I heard that it doesnt work and it sucks. I just don't want to try my luck with Ebay. I usually buy straight from the performance store that the part is manufactered.

eBay is a great and powerful tool if used correctly by both the seller and buyer. I have been an avid eBayer since it was started and I've only had maybe 2 bad transactions out of my 200 or so. One out of a situation like yours and one cause i just plain didn't want what i bought anymore. So i would just tell you not to judge eBay one just one transaction. That said i would also say do not buy any big purchases from people you don't know or people who's background don't check out (bad feedback) I always research what I am buying and who i am buying from. Don't just buy at first sight. Other than that sorry about your loss and just a word of advise USE PAYPAL, instant money back and no questions asked!

out of 343 transactions... I have had two bad ones.. one was an outright steal, the other was just sombody sending me the wrong product and then dragging their feet to get me a refund

depends on what you buy man. with ebay, i'll be buying electronics only whereas books, car models, clothes amazon.com. then i'll use paypal for everything on ebay whereas cars for amazon.
it's all about what you buy. where did you buy it from and what was the users feedback rating? we'll add that user to our shady list.
they have like 1000's of ricer stuff on ebay. pretty much your own risk if you decide to buy something.
