CHECK ENGINE
DEfinatly check both your O2 Sensors, i had the same thing happen on inclines and fast accelerations, the latter O2 sensor gave me probs cuz it was oldish,. make sure u have ur ECU scanned though to know that, lol, thats the only reason i ever had my CEL on.
I know this sounds weird but it could be that IAT sensor. For the longest time I had my check engine light on and it was the main cataylst below threshold. I assumed it was the 02 sensor, well I install my AEM CAI and I discovered the the moron before me installed a short ram intake and he put the IAT in that little rubber pipe between the MAF and the throttle body, I go to the junk yard grab a new one of those pieces and the gromment from the orginal filter box and I put it together correctly IE I put the IAT in the little hole on the CAI, and its been a week so far and no MIL. Its just me experiance so far...

thanks ironh, i thought it might be that...here's my situation:
when i bought the car used it had the stock air intake and one of the two wires that are connected to the IAT sensor was cut! yeah CUT, like in half. I knew that had to be the CEL that was on and off when I bought the car, so I got a little metal crimp connnector and re-connected the wire. That was while I had the stock intake. Everything was fine, no CEL, then I bought a CAI and installed that (and put the IAT sensor in the right spot, it'd be pretty hard to mess that one up...i mean there's a hole there cut out for you and everything.)But after the install, that's when I started getting this CEL on inclines (I'm guessing coincidence<---a really weird one too). I just started looking into it and got the OBD II codes and found out it's emissions control problems. This is why I think the problem is the the EVAP canister, a small hole somewhere, or a lose hose connection from when I installed the CAI....
do you think a faulty IAT sensor would set off an EMISSIONS CEL or wouldn't it be a different code? (I cen't remember the number) but I'm thinking if it was the IAT sensor it would be a different code...right? maybe, i dunno? right know I'm just trying to use deductive logic and cross off everything that couldn't be causing the CEL, I actually have the time right now to go check the EVAP canister (thanks MadMachine for helpin me out w/ that) so I'm gonna get up off my ass and sign off...
