damn im glad everyones alright tho. you getting a new bk for the tib? or? this would be perfect to get more mods for the body or suspension. if the kia is totaled think you willl get another and im sorry bout your dads ford, but i gotta say it. it shoulda been a chevy lol. what is your dad gonna get to replace it? a kia since it so obviously is more structually sound than the bronc? the civic is a given, if it rubs a pothole the wrong way they are done. lol. did your dad say y the other cars stopped so fast? oh yea to fix frame damage if its not totaled will be EXPENSIVE... like anywhere from 65-100 dollars an hour.

Pics are up. The car doesn't look bad, but that bumper is getting renewed fo SHO.
BK? I need a new bumper, this one could be reused, but it was in pretty bad shape before to be honest.
The Kia is in great shape, runs perfect, just needs a new front bumper, new hood, and the rear bumper refinished. A new hitch, and the radiator cross member repaired.
Actually, my dad is thinking about a new Kia Sorento now, he loves how well mine pulls stuff, and the new 3.8L V6 is even nicer, with a nicer interior. The other cars in front of us just stopped because of traffic at a off ramp, you just couldn't see it from the other side of the hill/rise in front of us. I think the b**** in the Audi was on her phone.

The accident sucks and all but it is hard to blame someone ahead for a rear end accident....It is pretty hard with a trailer and it doesn't sound like anyone did anything wrong behind....just one of those things! But you can't blame someone ahead (we are all guilty of not doing this but we must be prepaed to stop at any given moment)

I'm not blaming anyone else,t hat's for sure.
The tie down in the back was through the center tow loop, and it's in perfect shape, the tie strap was brand new, bought it on Friday morning, but it's got a bit of a cut on it now so it's getting tossed and replaced.

it's good to hear that everyone involved is okay and yeah, it doesn't look like it's too much damages on your vehicles
have you heard anything back from the insurance? any split with "at faults"?

Thanks man.
As for an update, the total damages to my Kia are estimated at $3600. The passenger headlight, all stickers, Geico replaces EVERYTHING.
Hopefully the work on the Kia can be done starting next week, and I'll get a free rental during the time. My deductable is only $200, so that's easy.
Then I'm doing the Tib.

Sorry about the late response redzman, but glad to hear you and everyone is ok. And for hitting an old bronco, that KIA sure held up man. Those things were like all metal, lol.
On a side note, I really like the NM license plates. Illinois plates are plain as hell... White with some blue on the bottom...
