Today, I drove my broke self to Wal-Mart to have the tires re-balanced. Two years ago I had to get my summer tires re-mounted after getting snow tires, and the only option was lifetime balance. They took 2 hours to balance 4 tires on a really slow day, and left the steering wheel, e-brake handle, and shift knob a dirty mess. The last 15 minutes, my car was sitting in the bay done. I complain to the person at the desk, and somebody goes out, checks my car, and pulls it out. Finding it dirty, especially since I cleaned it out after some idiot threw an egg into the interior 2 weeks previously, was the final straw. I go back in, find somebody, and have them summon an assistant manager. Calmly, I tell the guy how I had to wait 2 hours and show him the receipt that backs me up, and how the shop people left my car dirty. To his credit, he gets somebody to go out and clean what they dirtied in a timely manner, and the guy did a good job cleaning up. At least the tires are balanced. Such is how much lifetime warranties cost.

yah i work at walmart, in the auto bay we cover the seat with plastic bags and put on rubber gloves and paper things to go over our feet not to get the car dirty, it was something we all came up with in the auto bay, and we balance tires a lot quicker then 2 hours lol

Another thing different west of the border. I've seen people put down papers and cover the seats about twice in all the trips to the mechanic. They certainly don't do that at any of the Wal-Marts around here. I really hope that manager gave them hell about the wait time. One more time I have to wait over an hour on a slow day, and I'll be posting not to buy tires at the Wal-Marts in western NY. All these ones seem to want is more money. I saw a sign up on the wall that said if they sell 60 injection, er, wallet cleanings by the end of the month, they get a pizza party.

I find nothing good about wal-mart. It is just that simple. Not even their bathrooms are decent

An Email has been sent to my buddy who is in charge of hiring and firing the Machanics in the parts of the Central and Eastern US here at the wal mart HQ. He won't be there for long. I need the guys name though.

I don't know the guy's name. This happened this afternoon between 1 and 3 PM at the Clarence, NY location on Transit Road. I can post up a photo of my receipt if that's any use. The receipt shows that my car was in there for over 2 hours getting the tires balanced. Might be able to find out who was "working" on my car from the numbers off the receipt.

Some lady's TrailBlazer took about the same time getting an oil change and new air filter. What a way to run a business.

Let me know name and store number

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That is what he typed to me...at least look up the store number. I can seriously get this guy fired and make sure he never works at another wal mart again. I live Close enough to the Home Office, and have mutliple friends in my club from bentonville who work there, so firing isnt a problem.
