"As of January 31, 2008, Canadian citizens travelling by land to the United States must present one of the following:

a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s licence, PLUS a birth certificate or citizenship card; or
a valid passport; or
a NEXUS card; or
a Free and Secure Trade (FAST) card; or
an enhanced driver’s licence; or
a Certificate of Indian Status card; or
for those aged 18 years and under only proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate, is required."

And the same for US Citizens driving into Canada. They did make it so that passports were required a couple years ago, but too many people didn't know, so they changed it back to just driver's license/birth certificate for now, until January 2009 I think.

Yup. http://travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbpmc_2223.html

So, you'd better come down. I'd imagine we'd be having it at the same place, unless anyone else has better suggestions.

Frog, read what I wrote! You DON'T need a passport. Not till next January. So you should make the trip up.

So is anyone actually interested? Me and Jed are willing to plan it out if no one else will. And we can probably accomodate a few people at our new place for free (well, for beer).

Usage of a Passport will not be in effect until 2009.

I went down to Erie, PA for Nopi on June 1. I personally used my passport just because its easier, but the others in the group that I was with didn't. Driver's license and birth certificate is all you'll need.
