Nope.

I haven't seen the vid but I know who it was.

I'm assuming it was Clint Malarchuk of the Buffalo Sabres, I think he was playing elsewhere when he was cut, but he did play here in Buffalo for years after this incident. He did wear extra protection in the neck area though. I'll scan his hockey card when I get home.

seeing blood after they beat the shit out of them is a different story. the chances of dying are MUCH less. this guy had his jugular vien SLICED open.
