Popular cheer coach Neil Finger owns and operates the Vancouver Cheer Clinic and is also the cheer and dance director at Portland State University.
After bailing out of jail Tuesday evening, Finger appeared in court Wednesday to face some serious allegations.
The officer who arrested Finger says it was the former student's mother who contacted police after reading about the sexual encounters in her daughter's diary. The mother says the diary describes three sexual encounters, two in May at Finger's Vancouver apartment and once just six days ago.
The encounters allegedly included sexual intercourse. According to court documents, he also told the girl she couldn't tell anyone or he'd be in trouble. It also says when the mother called Finger to confront him four days ago he said, "How'd you find out?"
The conditions of Finger's release are that he is not allowed any contact with minors and is not allowed at his gym. He told the court his staff would be running it.
Finger's next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 9.
