Wondering if these will fit?
I've been looking at these specific rims for about a month now, and everytime I try looking for different rims, I always come crawling back to these ones.
Konig Bump Rims
I really don't understand the tire sizing, so if anyone could go into detail on what it all means, and if you could recommend a good all season tire that would be most appreciated!
These rims come in 15, 16, and 17 inch size, all in 4x100, and I was wondering if I plan on lowering the car once I get a body kit, should I stay with the 15 and 16 inch size, or if I lower it, will it rub?
I plan on lowering it a inch and a half to two inches, so I think the 15s would be the best?
Thanks for any help and answers! laugh.gif

Could you explain the tire size to me? What is 195/50r15 broken down? I'm sorry, I just never really understood this. And is this basically gonna equal the stock 13" rims and the radial tire?

You can run a few combinations.
Factory size is 175/70/13.
Tire sizing is as follows:
Width in mm/Sidewall height in percentage of width/Wheel size in inches
So the 175/70/13 is 175mm wide across the tread, 70% of 175mm (122.5mm) tall on the sidewall, and mounted on a 13" wheel.
If you do the math it's
(122.5mm)*2 + 13*25.4
245mm + 330.2mm = 575.2mm total tire height
So factory size is 175mm (6.9") wide and 575.3mm (22.65") tall.
You can go with a wider tire as long as it won't rub from being too wide. If you're lowered 2" I suggest nothing more than a 205mm wide tire. Even that might require fender rolling if your wheel offset isn't perfect.
For height you want to stay very near 22.65" tall. Some popular combinations to do that are:
195/50/15 - 22.68" tall
205/40/16 - 22.46" tall
205/40/17 - 23.46" tall <--not very close at all but the best you can do on 17" wheels
Factory size is 175/70/13.

Thank you for breaking that down for me, it makes more sense then what I was going off of. Is the stock Accent offset 42mm? Or did I misread that, and is the 40mm offset of this rim gonna be ok? Sorry for all the questions. tongue.gif

Desired offset is going to vary with rim width. 40mm should be fine with a 6" to 7" wide rim with it looking better on a 7" wheel than a narrower one because the outside of the rim will be closer to the fender lip.
Offset is measured from the centerline of the wheel to the mounting face. So an offset of zero has a mounting face at the centerline of the wheel. Positive offset moves the mounting surface towards the exterior side of the wheel. Negative offset moves it towards the car. We use positive offset wheels. Determining correct offset requires figuring out how far in the wheel can come before hitting the strut and how far out it can go before rubbing on the fender lip.

I will when I get them, I'm quite excited! I'll have to get outside soon and paint my calipers, but its just to dang hot!
