hey just like topic says i'm looking at getting a set of eibachs for under 100 bucks but i was wondering if they will fit. they are currently on my friends XD and i know you can use a few parts between that and RD's but i was just curious if this was one of those parts.

i have been wanting to try a drop at this is a good deal for me, does anyone know if i can use these springs or not??

Since noone else has answered....

I'm not an expert at the suspension system. They look different under the car. I'm to understand that the difference between XDs and RDs, is they improved suspension, steering, and body style.

hell, if he is a friend, tear them out and try them on. if not, put them back. sounds like a good way to kill a saturday afternoon with a case of tall ones and the music playing if you ask me.

I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I heard from a hyundai tech that if you put the stock springs from an XD into an RD they will fit and lower the RD buy 1-2 inches since the springs are a little shorter from from the XD, like I said i'm not sure if it's true or not but if I could find a cheap set of springs from an XD I would try it.

i am willing to try but i havent had a car for over a month. mine has been having flywheel issues. right now i'm only 1 day from having it done. i dont really want to tear back into it till spring time. its just too cold to be outside f***in with cars right now.

i guess i'll ask someone at hyundai if they know, no one else has heard anything about this?? i know we have alot of old school members who surely have heard of this working or not working before

Well they are different part numbers so there must be some difference in them. I wouldn't take a chance on it myself unless you can try before you buy.

They ought to fit if you swap the whole strut unit. There was a discussion about this over at ElantraXD. J2/RD struts swapped with XD/GK.
