What size tires did you have on the 16's? And what size do you now have on the 17's?

Those two sizes arn't far enough from each other to need an alignment just from switching the tires. Why do you think you need an alignment?

One of my buddies suggested that I get an alighnment. I didn't think I needed one but I just spent over $400 on my new tires--they're soft compound- so I didn't want to take any chances.

What kind of tires are they? I guess since you said they are soft compound that they are summer only and not all season? Regardless, I would drive on them for about 1k miles and then see if they are wearing strange. If they are get them alligned and rotated and then you should be good to go!

They're the new Kuhmo Ecsta RSX. The tires say "All Season."

i would align it up anyways. reason: not all alignment issues are noticeable from driving. a car w/ a bad alignment can kill your tires. wearing on either of the edges and shit like that.

i say...if you put a bunch of money into tires...you might as well protect that investment and make sure they will wear evenly. $60 at sears. do it up!
