Default Wheel repair

I'm calling around to figure out how much it will be to fix up my rims. They're 17x7 Reigns...the four on my car now just have some minor scuffing and scratches from daily use and evil curbs...I also have a fifth one that doesn't hold air because of a bend in the edge inflicted by a massive pothole.

I got a reccomendation on a place in the area, and they said the price the work by wheel size, not damage. They said it would be $110 per wheel to fix mine up. I wanted to throw this out and see what the overall consensus on this price is. Think I should keep looking? I mean, a new Reign itself would cost about $120... rolleyes.gif

I just need some forged aluminum Racing Harts...

Don't you love dallas streets! Sucks about your rims, I feel your pain.

$110 sounds kind of steep, get a second opinion.

Gimmie gimmie gimmie!

Cringe - it was actually a pothole on the SMU campus. Heavy rains had opened up some puppies that could have swallowed a small child. I complained to the university about it, and they claimed their hands were tied, because Bishop Boulevard "technically" is owned by Highland Park, and not SMU. ::MAJOR EYEROLL:: But, wouldn't you know, less than a week later, the potholes were "fixed" by being filled in with gravel.

Same thing was at Ben's Half yard house on greenville and park(ish). It was raining hard and what I thought was a puddle ahead of me was actually a hole leading to the center of the earth. Headlights went under water! Cracked the oil pan but at least I was driving my g/f's car. Hah! Cept oil pans are rather expensive for a bmw. sad.gif

GOD. Yeah. Familiar with the crater at Ben's. I agree...it's pretty decieving when it's full of water. That's why I hit the one on campus...it just looked like a puddle. The real pisser was that I had only owned the rims for about a month when it happened (February).

Guilty! Wake up and get online so I can get that phone number!
