In the Spring, when I finally get around to doing this, I will fix my budget to around $2000 cdn (about $1300 us) and hope I can get something good.
You should be able to get something nice for that price. The local rice shops want $1100-1200 for 4 wheels & tires.

I got my rims/wheels there. Complete set (Maxxim Wheels & Kumho Ecsta Tires) for $650 shipped to my door. Sweet looking rims. Whalen tire is a great deal...
I went to a few local shops that wanted to charge me $1500-$2000 for the same size rims/wheels. One of the shops was trying to rip me for $600 just for 4 tires. Hahaha, bite me!
