i'm wanting to get some new rims for my tib in a month or so, and i'm looking at going to some 8 inch wide rims. i've got the ones i'd really want picked out, but i'm pretty sure i'd need to roll the fenders, they have +0 offset.

the ones i want are xxr 522's

would those clear all the inside of the fender? i think that since they have the really agressive offset it would be fine, right?

I have 17x7.5 and they were fine on stock height. I forget what tire I had, but it rubbed a little ONLY if I was turning AND hit a bump/pot hole. I got a smaller tire 215/40/17 and they didn't rub.

Are you getting 18's or 17's?

i'm going 16x8. i want the width really more than anything since in 3 weeks i will have everything for my turbo build. i'm also going for a semi- "hellaflush" look, but without the unneeded camber and stretched tires... but i want the rims even with the body, maybe sticking out a little.

also i'm probably going to have 245/50R16 tires on them, i'm not sure on tire size yet.

I'm concerned that it'll hit your strut with a +0 offset.

You can measure to see what will fit.

If you can't figure out how to do that, just buy this and check.

16x8's will fit but you will need to have a fair amount of negative camber. Search for tdonnell's thread called "call me crazy". He was running 16x8's but he had to flare his fenders and run negative camber. It looked awesome though =)

Edit: Forgot to mention Tdonnell's offset was +15 I think.

i was concerned about the struts too, i figured that spacers would be needed but that would be it, i'll look into a couple other similar looking rims that i can get a bigger offset with. also THANKS for the link to tdonnells thread i had seen that sometime before but i couldn't find it when i was looking.
