Tibby Suspension Project
Well I'll try to throw in my 2c,
I'd get the springs first, it would be desirable to get the struts at the same time. If you want firmer ride get the H&Rs, if you like lower look and closer to OEM ride get the Eibachs.
The KYB GR2 work fine with both springs and are very well priced. If you are going to invest in more expenisive shocks, I'd get the recently released KYB AGX (adjustable shocks) for the Tib, the advantage of having adjustability at the reach of your finger tips is really valuable; I think the set goes for around $600 but I don't remember very well.
If you go for the Eibachs I'd go with their bars; if you go for the H&Rs the Whitelines work very good, but you can also try the H&R sway bars.
If I was begining all over again today from gound zero, I'd get as good set:
H&R springs
KYB AGX shocks
H&R Front sway bar
Whiteline Rear adjustable sway bar
Whiteline front and rear strut bars (they look really good)
as the most desirable set:
H&R Coilovers
H&R Front sway bar
Whiteline Rear adjustable sway bar
Whiteline front and rear strut bars (they look really good)
I hope it helps you with the choices...

I'm in the market for some sway bars, I'm leaning towards Eibach right now, as I like the rest of their line, but I would get the whitelines if they were a bit cheaper. Hell, I may still get some of them.
H&R eh? wonder how well that would go with my eibach dampners and HKS springs.

So you guys think the H&R springs are stiffer than the Eibach's?
I'm looking for something stiffer than stock but NOT a huge drop.

600 for struts?
Plus 100-200 for springs?
Might as well fork over some extra cash and get coilovers..
My setup..
Whiteline front sway bar
Eibach rear sway bar
SR strut bars
B&G coilovers
I took 2-4 turns at about 50-60 and the car was extremely stiff,... unfortunately i hit a rock and bent a rim 10 min later owned.gif
Get the serious stuff first (sway bars)
Then get the strut bars..
Wait on the coilovers/ springs... you might end up seeing a group buy or something down the line.
Either way a strut/spring combo will be expensive. ESPECIALLY if you dont get them at the same time (install fees will hurt)

You want lower treadware for stickier tires. Unless you just plan to reak in the rain. I went from a AA to A and my A stick a whole ton better(more slick like)

If you go for Coilovers, go for the KSPORT.
There was a group buy on these over at HP, but you can still get them for the same price, which is 850$.
They are awsome. ask anyone.
You can even order them with a different spring, softer one.... but.... I guess you prefer performance!!

or contact phantomHP on our site.
sexy indeed:

be careful, we don't have shocks. The picture and discription of those KYBs shows shocks and struts. We have 4 way mcpherson gas struts.
I think they just added the line in the US --I had seen the part numbers for the European market about a year ago-- I've seen them in the performancecenter.com website as vehicle specific option; take a look; the downside is they are way too expensive...

Agreed, that's why I mentioned the coilovers; those H&R coilovers are not badly priced at 1000; and if you want pure performance, there is a H&R spring/strut combo for 690, but it's extreme lowering; I bet not for a daily driver.

Strut bars should be the last, way after springs and/or struts.
