I wanted 16's because I don't want to deal with the harsh ride of 35 or 40 series tires.

The tires will be 215/45's.

The tires/wheels won't go on for another 2 months at least, but when they go on, I'll post up photos.

How much are those rimmies? I bet, with the price of one of those, I can buy two sets of Rota Grids. TE-37 w/o the expensive price. smile.gif

Rota's are cast, not forged. That is why they are so cheap. The styles look similar, but the quality is no where near similar.

But the 15s are even lighter... only 8.5 lbs each. I'm still curious why you went 16. poke

I went with 16's for the ability to run larger brakes, but still be light, and also allow me to run more rubber than 17's.

15's would require at least a 50 series sidewall (if not 55), and that would be a tad too tall of a sidewall for good conering ability.

The 45 series sidewall of the 16" wheel is a comprimise of good cornering and decent ride quality.

Jaws021 has enough "bling" for any 5 cars. He may have gotten rid of his Chromies for Centerline forged units...but he still got them in "polished" silver that's just as bright, if not BRIGHTER than the old chromies he had!

EDIT-
I forgot to mention the annodized BLUE lugs he put on.

Nice wheels Random, can you at least tell what color you're gonna paint them?

Dunno about quality, but if they can stand roads more cratered than Iraq such as the roads here, then I'd say they're pretty sturdy. smile.gif No one with Rotas here locally can say anything wrong with 'em.

OT I think, but I'm gonna get some used 15" Grids or Slipstreams soon. Tell ya guys what I think of them.

Anyways Random, congrats and good luck with them Volks.
