ok well as long as stiffening the rear makes the car OVERSTEER more than it's all good because the way i have it setup in the rear is stiffer.
I wish i could get the knob fixed but i don't think its possible, i need a new coilover.

I'm gonna get a centerbar as well no doubt, its just kinda hard finding one around. Don't see too many places that sell one for the RD's. I know Kspec has one but where else?

well i still feel quite some understeer so maybe i need to stiffen the spring preload a bit more on the rear.

anything else i should add to the list to get? i'll be in the market for an LSD sometime next year

Just remember, you are driving a front wheel drive car. There is only so much you can do to keep the front end tracking when you are turning AND trying to put down power. Even AWD cars have some problems in that department. What is really bad is if you get a rear biased handling and you understeer into a corner while putting down power and then let up... you could transition into snap oversteer without a second's hesitation.

I remember reading an article on a guy who raced the Rd1 (when it was new) on the track somewhere up in Canada. His recomendation was for a stiffer rear bar.. but he added that the Tib was already pretty well balanced and that if you ran with a heavier rear bar, you might want some provision to soften it or remove it when it rained.

I also recommend an LSD.

Hi, I bought about a year ago the set of Whiteline Sway Bars. I am not an expert on AutoX nor racing, but based on my experience I would suggest that you get both sway bars, front and rear. Although putting more strength on the front would seem counter productive, it's not. If you add too much stiffness to the rear, you will get a tendency to oversteer, and that is not 100% the same as less understeer. As Mad said, it's not about changing from an undesteer situation to an abrupt oversteer one, because that won't get you faster on the track.
If you add both bars, your car will have overall less body roll, and setting the rear (in my case I got the Whiteline adjustable) to your liking would give a more balanced car than just changing one bar.
Honestly, with the front bar on, the car rolls A LOT less than with OEM bars, and it transmit a more balanced feeling that translates into more confidence when pushing the car.
Other ways to avoid understeering are camber anjustment, very sticky tires (and at 36psi minimum when AutoX) and I don't know if there is anything else...

i would not recommend the one available at kspec right now if its the same one i saw. it would get in the way easily, and the brackets were weak.

Here is a DIY for a universal stabalizer bar I found on ebay. It seems to work great. I noticed a big difference in the handling of my car after I installed this brace. Hope you enjoy. If you are interested in purchasing one, just go to ebay and do a search for JDM floor bar. They are going for about 27.00 USD

yeea i searched that and had no results. By looking at the pics in the DIY it looks the same as the link that OzFxCoupe showed in the link way above. But that bar has specific cars to them and i dunno if its the same bar for all or specific.
