Sticky street tires
I was wondering if you guys could give me your opinion and a good sticky tire for my 17's. Because with the new addition of my speed-factor turbo kit i need something sticky. I have 205/40 tires i was thinking about going with a 215/40 would i have any trouble with this tire Size? The car will be lowered about 1.75", when i swap out my eibach springs for either B+G coilover set up or TnP from kspec.
I can say good things about my Bridgstone Potenza RE750s.... expensive at 150 a tire, but they seem to really hang in there, and unlike EVERY high performance tire I have run in the past.. they are QUIET as the stock tyres.
I kind of like the Goodyear F1's. They're a little bit cheaper too, at least at The Tire Rack.

you wont't have probs with the 215's if any thing you will be happier i went to 225's only complaint is dosen't turn as fast and hard as used to handles better with the wider tire though but from 205 to 215 you wont even notice too much of a difference in turning
you probably do not turn as fast or hard due to the tire rolling under the rim some in cornering... you should be running at least a 7 and a half inch wide rim to support 225.. preferably an 8
