Finaly I have sorted out the rubbing from the rear wheel arch due to the width of the new wheels.
I had the rear arches rolled and a bolt head shaved down, Now even with 5 in the car no scraping noises going over bumps.
17"x7.5" 215/40/17 Stil Auto Ghibli's SWEET!!
Anyone else running wheel width/size like these?

Basically, he had the wheel "arch" bent OUT (rolling) to keep the rear wheels from rubbing when the rear suspension compresses.
Chris- You don't say if you have any lowering springs, and what offset the wheels are.
17x7.5 with 215/40/17's should not rub, even with a lowering kit, unless you went with less than a +40 offset wheel.

Hi Random.
I had the lip under neath the wheel arch rolled flat against the wheel arch.
I have no idea what the offset is on my wheels, but if you look down the side of the car it is straight lines! Where wheel ends body begins.
At the time i had standard set up suspension, But have Eibach installed now.
I was told that after the arches were rolled and came back to te shopp due to the rubbing still being present that a bolt head was the problem, so that was grinded for free on both sides.
Now even with 5 in the car and going round hard corners no sign of rubbing.

If when you look down the sides the wheels are flush with the body of the car, then you probably have between a +30 to +35 offset.
If you alter the wheel offset, yes, you will rub unless the fenders are rolled, especially with the 1.2" Eibach drop.

Random, I have had some probs with rubbing lately! I have the Intrax Springs and it is supposed to be a full 1.5" drop front and rear. I have stock rims and Dunlop Sport W-10s 205/55/15 VR tires. When I turn tightly and accelerate it rubs the wheel well or the corner of the fender. It will also rub if I hit a rolling bump and the suspension flexes in the front. I really dont have that prob in the rear. Well do I need to replace the front struts, or what is your opinion here?

From what I have seen, the Intrax Springs lower you 1.75" to 1.8"
Your front wheels are probably rubbing on the interior fender lining or on the exterior wheel arch.
Take off your front wheel and examine the wheel well. You should be able to see where the scuff marks are.
If you are rubbing on the outboard wheel arch (just inside the wheel arch, or just on the edge of the wheel arch), you can have them "rolled" outwards. (or just buy a set of Z-Shark fenders)
If you are rubbing on the (engine side) fender lining, then you will need to try to bend that fender lining out of the way. You can heat it with a head gun (BE CAREFUL!) and deform it away from the wheel, or you can cut a section of it away to make sure it doesn't rub.
