Default Some brake upgrade questions

Posted this over at HP to no avail. Any help would be awesome....

Ok guys I'm looking at getting the XG two piston calipers from Korea for my 2000 Tiburon. I have 17x7 aftermarket wheels and was wondering if these bigger calipers will even fit. It looks like there isn't much more room in there width wise.

If you guys think it will fit then which type of rotors will I be after? I am guessing 274mm diameter and 26mm thick with a 114.3 lug pattern. Does anyone have any idea on what the height should be or if there is anthing else I need to be aware of?

thanks guys

where do you plan on buying them from? sr has the big brake kit that comes with the xg calipers and 274mm slotted rotors. they don't say anything about what size wheels they'll fit. i'd email sr and ask.

You need at least a 15 inch Rim for you to use the BBK.So to answer your question teh 17inch rims will be fine smile.gif smile.gif

the srBBK fits on 15" wheels and larger, like 2uniq stated. However, XG350 calipers do not make a BBK. The stock tibby rotor is too small and too thin to work with the XG350 calipers. You need a larger rotor and a thicker rotor. That is the key component in the SR BBK.

You can source XG300/350 calipers from any junkyard that has them...but you need the larger rotor to make it work.
