so i picked up a set of DIRTY cheap o.z fittipaldi 5 star 15" rims with pristine 195/50/15 tires yesterday..
goto bolt them on today... bolt pattern fits.. offset is fine.. no rub ANYWHERE.. but i cant get the rims fully flush against the hub face on the x3. you know whyyyy?!?!?!?!?
because the damn hole in the rim the hub would slip into.. is smaller than the hub diameter of the accents hubs!!!! FML!!
so im going to have to get the rims machined and or bored out.
the rims were on a suzuki swift gti and are 4x114.3 only bolt pattern.. and they're painted black.

that sucks i had a similar problem with the focal rims on my truck. i used .5" spacers to correct the problem. still had at least 6 turns with the lugnuts.
-i have also been offered 3 sets of rims from a friend of mine who rebuilds totaled cars. not one single set would fit my lc (4x100),

that's awesome. they look super. beautiful accent, with nice ground kit. mold the front lip, paint your calipers & mudflaps gloss black (you can use hi-temp duplicolor for the mudflaps as well). it'll look new.

Damn that sucks. I also think its kind of crazy that you get stuck doing work on the car out in the ramp....I've got a nice 2.5 stall garage smile.gif
haha i live in an apartment building.. that's the underground garage you're looking at smile.gif LOL
you should see my livingroom.. gf LOVES it. LOL *rolls eyes*

thanks man... i LOVE how aggressive the car looks now. and once i finally bore them out and they're safe to drive on.. im sure the traction will be humungously improved (good. not happy with the 15.8 track time anymore lol)
id mold the front lip... but since the car will be receiving a full FMIC setup very soon.. and the bumper has no support behind it (relocated slimfan to the front of the rad vs the back.. plus IC piping.. and a fmic..) the bumper is kinda flimsy..
i need to be able to drop the bumper and put it back on, on the fly as need be. and if i mould the lip. it'll probably just keep cracking from the huge flex of the bumper.
calipers i plan on doing, once i get aftermarket rotors and figure out some sort of rear disc conversion.
the ground kit sides are actually accent GT sideskirts, and i ABSOLUTELY love them! smile.gif had to remove the mudflaps to fit the sideskirts on though!
I'll keep you guys updated as i do more to the car when i have time.
Cheers!!

Do you have captive rotors? If so is the wheel hitting the bolts? Do the wheels possibly have hubcentric rings already installed matching the Swift's 54.1mm bore? I couldn't find any specs on what the wheel's centerbore is supposed to be, the Accent's is fairly large at 67.1mm, some wheels stop below that bore but it's more often that they'll keep a larger hub bore to be able to fit on more cars.
The wheels look great though, worth boring out if that's the issue.

*grumbles* stupid captive rotor design.. does that answer your question>? LMAO
just doing the rotors ill have to take the car to a damn shop vs do it myself lol. stupid engineers on wanting captive design vs non captive like eeeeeveryone else out there.
no.. the wheels dont have hubcentric rings already installed matching the swifts 54.1mm bore.. sad.gif the wheels on both front and rear wont fully tighten down... when i tighten them.. the accent hub hits the rim bore.. and wont clear it.. but yeah.. i absolutely LOVE the rims.. so bore it is! shouldnt be TOO much of an issue to bore them out.. already found a shop via kijiji that specializes in rim drilling and bore adjustments.
we'll see how it goes.. the wheels and tires are too great to just pass off on somneone else.
