I am going to pick up a pair of slicks and would like some opinions on which size to go with.

22.0/8.0-15

or

24.5/8.0-15

Whats the best size to use?

Mine are on order.

24" is too tall. When you head down the track, it's gonna go skinny and tall on you. The tire will stretch and go beyond the 24" measurment.

Stock is 23" by my calculations.

22" would be fine.

Just got a call back. I'm picking them up today.
$313 for the pair
Mickey Thompson 22x8
14lbs each

205/60 next to the MT 22x8, both on stock RD2 rims. The MT is actually an inch shorter, but should expand down the track. There's about 1/2" clearance behind the tire to the strut. Perfect IMO.

Depends on how much power I put down after tuning the standalone soon.

I'm hoping to get close to 300whp. Low 12's maybe.

And I'm also hoping Chris gets us the traction bars before the track day Sept. 30.

8.5 wont fit. Might also rub.
8 fits snug (perfect).
7.5 will fit easily, but you want traction from a wider tire.

It's up to you.

A 23" tall tire might fit. I have plenty of room, but who knows until I head down the track with them.

Hey Jon I am running 215/40/17's for the street now with no spacers and I have no rubbing issues with the coils or fenders

so maybe the 8.5's should be fine????
